"Aces High" - Iron Maiden I shouldn't have to go on about the greatness that is Bruce Dickinson's singing and Steve Harris' awesome bass. This song makes me want to grow my hair into a mullet that reaches my back. |

NP: Samael - I Love the Dead An awesome transitional piece from Black Metal to Ambient Dark Metal. Cover of the thrash classic by Death SS (not neo-NAZI, SS=Steve Sylvester, the lead singers name). Very good vocals, and quite eerie sounding, highly suggested to anyone who enjoy metal. |

'tears of the dragon' by bruce dickinson this is his first album he made since he left iron maiden, but then later in 1999 he came back along with adrian smith. it just shows you that bruce is great, no matter if he is in maiden or not. |

Rotting Christ - Transform All Suffering Into Plagues Basically, this is one of the songs that Rotting Christ did before they started sucking...In my opinion, any Greek death metal band should be great...But if you are a fan of death metal...And have heard old RC and compared it to new RC...God damn...So bad. |

Your layout is forking up the tables <.< COB is okay and all...But they are more suggestable to people who aren't really into these genres...Just people who want a sampling of a bunch of bands at once. Wagner - Ride of the Valkyries Not really structured that well...But does have an epic sound to it. |

I'm listening to 311's latest album, "Evolver". Hmm...I've only listened to a few tracks and so far nothing has amazed me. I truly think they're running out of steam. Seriously, there's nothing on here yet that I haven't heard before. |

Trust by Megadeth. I found this song through a very good Rurouni Kenshin AMV I downloaded at my uncle's. I love the beat through out the song, and the opening kicks ass. |

Over all, Audioscrobbler tells me that I'm listening to this (in order of most listens): Augie March the Smashing Pumpkins Klezmatics Talking Heads Devo Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire Modest Mouse The Aquabats Radiohead the blood brothers The Pixies The Clash Weezer Blur The Flaming Lips The B-52's XTC Violent Femmes Swans Right now, though, I'm listening to Barikadn by Klezmatics. Klezmatics are a Jewish Klezmer band - Yiddish and English, an amazing blend of traditional Klezmery stuff (accordions and flutes and folksy little breakdowns) and clevernessadditions (such as the Gospelish background singers in "I Ain't Afraid"). Quite unique, quite amazing. Barikadn is an adaption of a 1948 recording of a Yiddish revolutionary Socialist song - "Tates, mames, kinderlekh, boyen barikadn. Oyf di gasn geyen arum, arbeter-otryadn" (Fathers, mothers, children, are building baricades. Detachments march along the streets, workers on parade) (edited by Arwon on 03-15-04 03:42 AM) |

Listening to Setrodox's song. It's a little repetitive, but it reminds me of later Burzum and is kind of cool sounding. |

Metallia - Metal Militia Any song about taking over the world with heavy metal is fine by me. It's from Metallica's Kill 'Em All album, which goes back to thier thrash days. There's not much to say about it musically except that it's thrash. Very aggressive for the time, both in the instruments and the lyrics. Metallica makes use of more sound effects at the end of the song by splicing a track of thunder and a track of troops fighting as the guitar fades away. Very impressive solo, not by Kirk Hammet, who wasn't even in Metallica for thier first album, but instead by Dave Mustaine. They later kicked Mustaine out of Metallica for always being drunk or high when they needed him to play. When Mustaine is fired halfway through the recording of Metallica's Ride the Lightning album, he goes on to create the band Megadeath. Both bands go on to metal fame and glory. More of Mustaine's guitar work can be found in the songs Ride the Lightning and The Call of Ktulu. I actually still to this day think Kill Em' All is my favorite album of theirs, next to Ride the Lightning and Justic for All. Everyone knows "The One". |

Originally posted by Xeogred I actually still to this day think Kill Em' All is my favorite album of theirs, next to Ride the Lightning and Justic for All. Everyone knows "The One". The actual name of the song is One. See quite a few posts up for my comments. Right now: Metallica - Harvester of Sorrow I haven't listened to this one much, so I haven't put much thought to what it's about, but a cursory examination seems to hint at it being about parents neglecting thier child because they care too much about themselves to take care of him. It fits in with the theme of the ...And Justice For All album too, which just so happens to be greed. Standard Metallica metal from the Justice era, standard solo. A great song, but when put into perspective by some of the other songs on the CD, it doesn't really stand out that well. |

Some song off Botch's We Are the Romans is cycling my head. That is such an excellent album, easily one of the best metal albums I've heard, and definitely the best metalcore I've yet listened to. Ah, words just cannot describe the beauty of this piece... It's out of print, but I got it factory-sealed from Amazon Marketplace. Aye... She's a beaut, all right. |

Religious Wars, by the Subhumans. "In the name of god, they left you to die" That line just gets me every time I listen to it. |
