Originally posted by Jarukoth I loved that song when I first heard it. It's too bad the rest of their songs don't meet this calliber. Also, the appropriate genres is "rapcore". I remember they used to open for ICP. Currently, I'm listening to "Burn out," by Cinematic Orchestra. |

The Power of One by Sonata Arctica I don't know why, but I'm heavily addicted to any kind of music that comes from anywhere near that region. (They're from Finland.) Kick ass music that I love ever so much. |

Serge Rachmaninov, Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Opus 18. My introduction to this came from an ex- of mine, when watching The Seven Year Itch. The music is just...*melts*...it's so damn good...emotional and expressive...I love it.... | |||

Originally posted by merc I sure have! I even have their ( ) cd. It's VERY very good. As a matter of fact, I'm going to go listen to it now. Such beautiful music. Like I said, anything from up in that region is outstanding. If anyone else has any more recommendations of bands from Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Norway, etc., then let me know. Oh, and that doesn't include Hammerfall or Rhapsody because I've already heard of them. Love them both as well. |

Eminem - "Buisness" From "The Eminem Show". One of those songs that's best when you're in the car, windows down, bass cranked. I love my bass... |

Slayer - Raining Blood For 80's metal, it's very, very heavy. Some very cool riffs. The only part I don't like about the song is the very last bit of it. They sorta throw the idea of key and rythm out the windows and just jam on the guitars. It's a cool idea, but I think nobody really got it right until Billy Corgan wrote Zero. I think this one is also part of the in-game soundtrack to GTA: Vice City. |

NOFX - The Decline 18 minutes, 21 seconds. No, it's not a screwed up version that has 13 added minutes of static, this song is actually 18 min 21 seconds. Numbers aside, it is still a spectacular song that talks about the decline of society. Listen and read the lyrics, it's just awesome. |

Drowning Pool-Step Up The new WWE theme song, from The Punisher soundtrack, due in stores this Tuesday. Highlights include Step Up, Broken, Edgewater, any many more. Oh, and isn't Finger Eleven's "Slow Chemical" the theme song for Kane? That'll be on, too. |

Metallica - Fade to Black The "Ballad at Track Number Four" that characterizes Metallica Albums numbers two to five. This shares the spotlight with The Call of Ktulu by embodying what the album is about, which is Death. For Metallica, the song is very slow. Hammet plays several solos, all of which are rather mellow. Hetfield plays his an acoustic-sounding guitar without distortion while singing the verses, and kicks in distortion for the chorus and the outro. Said outro is actually quite a bit of the song. There are very few lyrics, most of which are pretty well spread over the first half-or-so of the song. It ends with a very mellow solo that fades out to silence. (It "Fades to Black") The song is about suicide, which is another reason for the song's name. Although it makes it clear that the person is doing it because he feels there's nothing left to live for, there's no reference to exactly what tipped the person over the edge. I've come to the conclusion that it's most likely left out to draw emphasis away from the "Why" and towards the "What". |

Fade to black is a nice song. Nice intro. Good lyrics. Metallica is great. I am listening to Bloody Romance - Senses Fail Cool song, I like it now, before I didn't. Kinda grows on you. Why am I using so many full stops... (aka periods in america. I dunno why they call em different things there? ) I reckon the guy singing this song had a cold/the flu when he sung it. lol XD |
