I would say no...just because you're not being specific but...I'm going to figure you meant something like an AVI or an MPEG file...in which case, yes, there is...but it is a rather long process and I'm not exactly sure if you'd be up to it...

Or at least, the way I know of in ZSNES...

Anyways, it'd be a matter of pushing F1 at the start of the video and taking a pic of the screen with SNAPSHOT/INC FRAM command and holding ENTER until the movie is complete. As you can probably guess it'll be a relatively long process.

Afterwards, I usually grab all the BMPs and a video editor (preferably VideoMach) and go from there in converting it to an AVI file. Now the problem with this method is that it makes the movie without sound. So if you're doing this to have a vid with sound, don't bother making it, this would be the method I would do if I was making a music vid out of ZSNES movies (which I did once back a few years ago out of boredom using random movies in ZSNES and putting it to a short version of Cardigans - My Favorite Game, later putting it into the full version; I ought to try that again sometime but it's been a looooong time).

Now there is probably other methods...but that's the best that I know of...there may be frontends available for ZSNES that support AVI taking or SNES9x might have the capacity of doing it over ZSNES, I'm not really sure, you may want to check that out.

[scrounges for example]

This would be an example. (~1.75 MB, ZIP, requires DivX codec to run). As you can see it has no sound...but it gets the job done, unfortunately the best ZSNES allows is movies at Frameskip 1 (30 FPS) so the movies aren't quite perfect but they work. This particular one was me messing with an editor in Super Nazo Puyo 2 in an attempt to make a 19 chain (most you can get).

I am IMPRESSED. Very nice.
And about another way: Nope.
A ZSNES movie is just a savestate with all the keys you press afterwards saved, so there's no way to covert it to another movie type.

That make me think of another question:
Is there a program that let's you record what there is on your screen? So I would be able to make videos that way...

Camtasia would be one route...but I don't think it'd be a wise choice considering I tried that once and it kinda screwed up on me because there was always a mouse cursor in the way.

If you wait a while, it will be implemented into ZSNES.

As Pagefault himself wrote....

ZSNES MOVIE EXPORT SPECIFICATION - SUBJECT TO CHANGE
1ST DRAFT

PURPOSE

The purpose of this document is to specify the perameters of how a ZMV file will be exported to a compressed movie format, viewable in an external player.

REQUIREMENTS

- All movies that are exported must come from an already created ZMV file.
- It is not feasable to do this in realtime while a game is playing.

OUTPUT FORMAT

- Movie will be outputted to 320x240 (NTSC) or 320x288 (PAL).
- Movie will be stretched from original 256x224 buffer to fill these requirements.
- Movie will run at half internal framerate (29.97 fps for NTSC, 25 fps for PAL)
- Sound will be 32khz stereo.
- Will use OGM or equivilent open source container format.

CONSIDERATIONS

- Full frame rate would not make this video playable on conventional video equipment.

CODECS

- Video will use xvid (or theora if availible)
- Audio will use vorbis.

XviD and Vorbis are both open standard formats... makes sense as to why they will use them verses the propietary stuff like DivX.

While we're on the subject of DivX and XviD, what's the difference with the two? The one is free and the other isn't?
