Manually connecting from ZSNES itself

Netplay -> Internet
- Either start server, or (if the other is server) enter the other player's IP and connect
- Try with UDP enabled first, turn it off (TCP) if that doesn't work, UDP usually gives better results

If it eventually brings you to a chat window with options at the bottom, that means it worked

Additionally, if zbattle didn't work for you...then there's a good sign that you're firewalled or have a router that isn't open on UDP port 7845. That's why it may not run...I get way too many people on zbattle that have that problem...locks up on load time or locks up with you being server on the message 'Client found.'.

And then you have my problem right now, where for some reason I can unblock port 7845 on my firewall, but... If I try to start a game I'm hosting, ZSNES locks up and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del it. If I join a game (say, one Hiryuu creates), it'll be fine for a minute and then we desync.
