You know...if you make another post like this right after the thread title...I'ma smack you.

If VBA doesn't do it, none of them do.

I don't understand why people are trying to play the classic NES series on VisualBoy Advance. Just get the NES rom and play it on an NES emu.

Well I don't see the point... I mean:

- downloading larger/harder to find files
- using more RAM
- using more CPU
- using an emu with less features
- playing on a smaller resolution

I know those are all great reasons to want to emulate the GBA version </sarcasm>

If you don't want to do that, then you're pretty lazy.

You can either wait for VBA to emulate the Classic games (which will likely happen down the road) or you can get the original roms, which are quite easy to find. Otherwise, don't complain.

The classic NES games work in DreamGBA. Unfortunately, they seem to run like crap in it. But the whole idea of playing an emulated game inside another emulator is just daft. If you really want to play them, I'd go with Disch's idea.

Geez. Finally a use for that outdated emulator...

DreamGBA hasn't been updated in forever I think. If anything new works in it, consider yourself very lucky.

Go with PocketNES. It has more features than Nintendo's own NES emulator.

Nope. It was last updated at Zophar's on 29th May 2004. http://www.zophar.net/gba.html.

hmm...it seems I know where the confusion comes from. There is DreamGBA v2.5, that was last released in the date I gave. However, there is DreamGBA TNG, which is currently at v1.4 and that was released at the end of May 2004...

So in essence, we are both right...

vba and fceu are hands-down the best emulators for the 2 systems. eventually roms will be released for GBA Classic series, but until the roms are released no emu will be able to play them if they dont exist

OK, you guys are getting confused.

If you want to play a NES rom, then use an NES emulator. Don't use a multi-game emulator. FCEU is one of the better NES emulators but at least you have a choice in that department. For GBA emulation... well, you have one real choice.
