Is there really a use for displaying the current date and time in a post? Most computers I know of that are capable of loading this board have a clock in a much more convenient place. Perhaps it should instead display the date/time the post was made.

It does show the date and time of the post, not the current time ... unless the "auto-update" option does that, but I doubt it ...

Might as well check that in a few minutes to be sure

Yeah it does, but only for your time zone.. so that's showing up as 10:04 PM, when the time date above it says 7:04 PM.

So is it really useful? Well, I don't know. But is it useful to remove the &date& function either?

It also has it right above the post. Usually.

I just find &date& lame... Oh well.

Well if you look at where it says "Post #902" in my header, I wanted it to say "Post #902, Created at [time of post]", but it seems to use the current time (which BTW is what the FAQ says).

Hmm, it does seem to be showing the post date now. Someone needs to update the FAQ then.
