Just finished watching all six DVDs of this anime. I watched the movie before watching the series (even though I knew some of what the anime was about) and I was wondering, where does the movie fit in?

SPOILERS BELOW!!!

Stop now if you don't want to read anymore...

In the last session of Bebop, Spike and Vicious are fighting (after the death of Julia) and it shows Spike falling on the stairs. Now, I take it that he's dead. Unless the movie is after the series ended. Just wondering about this.

Funny when Ed and her father meet up and the dad is like "thanks for taking care of my son" and then he looks at Ed and then says daughter.

I would say that like a lot of anime movies it doesn't fit into the series. They do that a lot.

Well, InuYasha's movies do.

I need to watch the movie again, actually. It's been about a month and a half since I've seen it.

And I've seen an eposide list and it doesn't show the movie on it anywhere.

EDIT: Found something while reading about the chars in the series:

Annie: "An old friend of Spike's before he "died," she is a fat lady who runs a shop and gives Spike the lowdown on Vicious' appearance. Anastasia explains that Mao is dead, and warns not to try to go after Vicious. Thankfully, Spike does not listen. Later on, we meet with Annie again, just as she is dying. She tells Spike that it was the Red-Dragon syndicate that did it, and, seeing Spike and Julia together, she happily, yet sadly, dies."

So this means the movie is before the last ep in the series...wonder where, though...still.......

Cowboy Bebops owns. I have the series and the movie on dvd as well.

Oh, and the movie "Knockin' on Heavans Door" (the actual title of the movie but due to copyright laws and such...) takes place right after the episode with Andy and right before the final two episodes.

I have the first volume of the manga, and I have rented the DVD of the movie before, but the damn disc skipped before it was done. Damn Blockbuster...

If it's only six DVDs, I might invest in a few...

I have the entire series and the movie.

The movie does in fact take place before the final two episodes. As you can see Ed is no longer with them. But whats great about Bebop is that every episode is pretty much its own story, you dont have to watch every episode from beginning to end to enjoy it...like DBZ for example where an episode is 5 minutes in the DBZ world.

This is definatly my favorite Anime ever.

and yes Melvin....Spike does die
Thanks for opening up old wounds

Oh, speaking of Spikes death. Does anyone know what that song is called that play right after he dies?

It goes something like this...

"wheres you measio-oot
something something
everything is clearer now
soemthing
life a dream
thats never ending
and im ascending"

I'll prob end up buying the entire soundtrack, since I enjoyed the music from the anime and I tend to have bad luck when it comes to d/l entire anime CDs.

I have the soundtrack. My bro bought it over two years ago, along with the first donuts. I must say, it is a real good listen but The First Donuts(Trigun Soundtrack) is better. (If you don't understand the pun, kill yourself)

There's about 4 or 5 different soundtracks. Try getting the 5-CD box set. It's awesome.

Trunxy: I got it. And I have some tracks from Trigun, but not the entire CD(s).

Legion: I've seen the CDs at the anime store that I go to, but nothing about a box set. I might ask next time I go there. Thanks.

I saw the movie when I D/led it from Kazaa. It was in Jap with the subtitles and stuff and the quality was okay. I don't remember much of it though. I was confused with the movie and the end of Cowboy Bebop. At least now I know that it isn't right after it. I need to rent the movie from Blockbuster next weekend since my mom likes Cowboy Bebop and hasn't seen it yet :-P

Kinda sucks that h died. When it happened, I was like...no way...they killed him off. But it didn't hit me as hard as when Wolfwood died in Trigun, though.

I need to get my hands on that manga. And luckly, I know where to get it.
