Yea, Mario time machine shouldn't even be a Mario game; it wouldn't even make a difference if Bowser was going back in time and Mario stole all of the historical artifacts. Besides that, I liked Yoshi's Island a lot. |

Super Mario World. I've played it since I was 2, so it's pretty nostalgic.

Even though SMW is a classic, YI is a very well designed game, so it gets my vote. SMRPG does come in at a close second though.

SMW has been my fav for years, but YI is really catchy, it is chalenging, and smw was not so chalenging at all. *reminds of trying to get 100 points in the extra 5 level of YI* |

You forgot BS Super Mario USA! Obscure ones like Wrecking Crew '98 and Same Game aside, my favorite is the original SNES game-- Super Mario World. There is nothing quite like it! |

Out of that list, I would say that SMW2:YI and Super Mario Kart are my favorites. I also liked Mario RPG, but a few of the characters/enemies made it seem a bit UnMario-like (I didn't really like Geno, or Smithy, and the Giant Sword was a little weird, I also think Bowser should have been the Last Boss) BTW: I also think Mario's eyes looked a little odd, he looked like he was hypnotized or on drugs or something (when he's facing down) |

Super Mario world 2: Yoshi island is my favorite. Simple becuse of the difficulty. Mario is missing and Mario's time machine is educational games. Educational games are seldom that great as games... |

For me, it's a tie between Super Mario RPG and Super Mario World. Both awesome games, IMO.

mario's time machine was too hardcore for me. Mine's a tie between Super Mario RPG and Yoshi's Island.. one of my best videogame memories as a child. I remember the days I got them, the feelings I had.. they were just AMAZING. |

Though I love all of those games (except the last couple...And Mario's Missing sucks, I think) I just have to vote Yoshi's Island. Mario RPG...isn't really a Mario game. That would be my true fav for SNES, but it's not a MARIO Mario game. And although Mario World is EXCELLENT, Yoshi's Island has everything a good platformer should have and represents the peak of SNES quality. I just bought the game for the GBA yesterday, and damn, am I happy I did. (Though I own the SNES version anyway) The game is just so frickin' nice that I felt it earned another $30 from my wallet. The FX chip effects used, the colorful backgrounds, foregronds, etc. and the wonderful level design are all very nicely put together. The scoring system and the extra stages are also happy, too. I'm fairly sure the GBA version has a whole new 'world' of levels I have yet to see (I'm on World 3 still) and I can't wait to see how devious they are. Yoshi's Island was the first video game I ever actually attemtped to get. I'd loved Mario Bros. 3 beforehand, but Yoshi's Island was the first game that really got me into gaming, and if it weren't for that game, I certainly would not be the same person- sadly enough. Mario RPG is a very good game, and I love it to death as well, but it just doesn't ooze Mario goodness like Yoshi's Island does. I would like to see Square cooperate with Nintendo for a new Mario RPG. The fifth in the series could be EXCELLENT if Square is behind it. For now, I'm very happy with the first three. Mario RPG? Probably about 100 hours of play or so... Paper Mario? Oh, good golly, a good 150 hours...Beaten that 7 times, as well, and played for at least 20 hours on each play... Superstar Saga I'm still working on, though...5 times I've beaten it, probably played that for about...120 hours or so. And Paper Mario 2...Geez...I can't imagine how much I'll play that game... But Yoshi's Island is the peak of true Mario platforming- just before that old-skool gameplay faded away. |

Yoshi's Safari kicked total ass. I believe that I beat that game back and forth infinite times when I was a child. The first time my dad had to hold the super scope for me, because my shoulders were too tiny for it, but a few months later, I could do it all on my own, and I rocked. |
