I found this to be very funny. The little fuck deserved it.

Yep... his parents deserve every penny they get out of it, an dmore (Cuz' the little brat is STILL in debt ). Nice little composition too.

Now HOW old is this kid again, 2, maybe 3 at best?

BS or not... it's a novel punishment.

Brat deserves it for wasting that champagne to begin with. Sounds pretty destructive for a 13 year old...

I think the better lesson to be learned here is "Don't drink alcohol at age 13", but that's just me.

They have AA for teens, right? They do here, I know that.

Put him in one of those sessions to scare him straight.

"UP FOR A"

when I try to load the page, it stops right there. That's never happened for any other eBay page for me before. Could someone post its contents?

Sure thing, YD.

Parents please let your children read this auction.

It was a glory day when my son received his Play Station 2. This beloved machine was his prize possession. He played, if not for hours at a time. When he would not take care of anything else, but he took care of this little treasure of his. Ground him, take away phone privileges

No, put him in the methodone clinic support room. THAT will scare him straight. Show him to stay away from all substances. Christ, I never want to go to that place again.

"LET THE YELLING BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I'm not surprised if that is a dad after all, I know that my parents abuse smileys when they chat. And I have severeal times seen all caps from my dad...

First time I hear about somebody who really sells a console for punishment, if this is real...

I think the parents were justified. I'm sick of seeing parents being walked all over. My brother has dropped out of college three times. You know how much money that wasted? Maybe they should sell his $4000 car on ebay.

He could sell his KID for punishment and keep the PS2... Nah, just kidding...

I think this is too exaggerated by his parents but that

Hahaa.. that's great. Yeah, it's justified. I wouldn't think it'd be reliable to purchase a PS2 from them though.. who's to say the son won't throw a fit and destroy it, or something? Great story though.. obviously.. $122 is a nice deal now, yeah?

As far as AA goes, it's only real if you want help for your problem. I was forced to go to an AA meeting for a damn school project, and in my eyes it was flat out ridiculous. Based on what I gather from the kid's personality, he wouldn't give two shits about it. This is a more ideal route.

Not really man. While you're a minor all your assets are technically the property of your parents. You wouldn't have any say in the matter unless you wanted to get violent or something. Maybe that's just American statues, though. You said "mum" and that could mean you're from any number of places.

My Mam wouldn't do that, and is not allowed to do. 'cause it's in our law, that when a Kid buys something with it's own money, It's his/hers. (And I'm no kid anymore)

Quote, my mother: "What is it with Americans and their belief that whenever a child has done something wrong the best thing to do is to punish them?". Punishment is a rather foreign concept in Scandinavian pedagogy, and is seen as a rather primitive method of raising your child.
