Is it possible? Like say i wanted to change the battle music that plays during the wild rayquaza battle to that of the musc that plays during the battle with Archie/Maxie. Is it possible? If so, how?

It would be possible, though probably not the easiest thing in the world.

More than likely, you'd have to find the pointer to the music of the wild rayquaza battle, and change it to that of the Archie/Maxie battle. And this assumes that the data is uncompressed and easy to find.

Suffice to say that if you need me to clarify, you likely lack the skill needed to do such a thing.

Well I know there should be an easy way i'll check out this weekend. Unless Kawa automatically comes up with something out of nowhere. Oh and Emptyeye no need to be mean he's just starting or is already a good non well known hacker

Music is uncompressed. It's the same format as just about every other GBA game.

Switching songs around is piss easy. You only need to find the music pointer list. If you have Bouche's Sappy music player you can find the list using Sappy's database.

Once you know where the list is, just find Archie and Rayquaza's song pointers and switch 'em around. Easy peasy japaneasy.

Legendary Pokemon Battle's song pointers are at &h456360 in sapphire. here, you should type in &h00026B. This should be followed by an 08, but that should already be there. all set If I got the wrong song let me know, I'll give you another adress to enter it into, but I beleive this is what you are looking for.

Well, this sorta answers my question. But what I intended to do was just change the music for one specific battle, not change it permanenetly. But I might stick with this for now.

It's only possible via ASM hacking.. and the code for choosing the battle music is uglier than it should be really...

Heres my tut and you DON'T NEED THE FUCKING ASM HACKING and if need some SONG then search the hexes of it in the list of songs of ELITE MAP.I could had uploaded the file on my server but im far too lazy to go upload and put link so i put it here......

Tutorial For Changing The Battle Music of One-Time Events

These are the Offsets for finding the Pokemon Hex for editing the
Events,You need to use them if you want to change the Battle Music for
each one.

Rayquaza = 15F316
Kyogre = 15DD67
Latios/Latias = 160B2B Wild Pokemon Location : 160B84
Regiice = 15EF2D
Regirock = 15CB15
Registeel = 15EFE0

Now load one of those offsets and for example Rayquaza,Now from there
search for the hex value 01B7 That is the Battle music when Battling
Rayquaza,Now that you've found it change it to : 0195.If you hear
LittleRoot Towns Music then you've done it correctly!

The Music hex for Rayquaza,Kyogre,Groudon,Latios and Latias is:

-01B7 or 01CF (I'm Sure the first one is,If not try the other)

The Music hex for the Regis is:

-01CE (This one is for sure)

Well, I was planning to insert some Kirby music I got off a site as a MIDI...
Oh, and Kawa (and all Mods who watch this thread), I'm only posting the following here because AOL Parental Controls won't let me post in the Elitemap thread (what the [censored word] is their problem??)
Anyway, I know it's irrevelant to this topic but this post wouldn't be here if it weren't for stupid AOL!!!

I have a suggestion for EliteMap...
Suggestion:
If you can store map data in free space using Resize, why can't you make new maps? Interdpth says there's limited Maps/Banks.
However, the last Bank (at least in version 3.2) is 21, has 22 Levels, but only one is a map. If you reference those other levels to free space, and make EM prompt you if you wanna make a new map...
but you'd also need a New Event, New Tileset, Change Tileset and other features...
Just a suggestion.
EDIT: Didn't know what you meant, LdngNOW, now I do...
EDIT: |:-< Real good, LdngNOW. I followed the TXT READFIRSTORDIE (copied address,checkedbox), and it still screwed up the ROM. I never thought success would come in the form of a [censored word] up ROM!
