And I thought I'd seen 'em all...until I got this doozy from a knuckle-dragging idiot who evidently couldn't figure out the finer points of their mass-mailing software such as, oh, gee, actually posting a URL for the C.H.E.E.P \/1@GRA or whatever I'm supposed to be enticed to purchase. Well, that beats the ones with strings of random words I sometimes get.

ALSO:Randomly, I was cleaning out one of the shelves in my room, and found the map of one of the labyrinths in Deadly Towers that I made some time ago! Suffice to say I threw it out, as I wasn't gonna use it anymore.
Christ, I don't believe it's been four years since I pulled off beating that game. Perhaps sadder, I spent the weekend of my junior prom beating it. |

Aw man...if I would have known, I would have begged you to scan it or something. That's quite a relic!
I'd say that beating an insanely difficult game fair and square is a more entertaining use of one's time than going to an expensive and overhyped school dance. Can you tell that I never went to any prom? |

Haha! Actually, it would probably not be that difficult--or for that matter, unsanitary (As all that's in this particular bag is a bunch of papers), to dig it out again. And I could take a pic with my digital camera easily enough....
The problem, I think, would come with getting it into my comp. I'm not sure the cable and/or USB port works. Although I could always take the printer out of the second USB port...
Not now, though, brother's sleeping and the like.
I actually went to two proms, my girlfriend's junior prom and my senior prom. They were, in fact, rather overhyped.

Linux. (Take a look at the email window's title bar - it's a minEguE-ish theme for XFce4. ) There are nasties that affect it, but they're pretty rare, and I've never heard of any with capabilities similar to those of the latest round of Windows worms.
I should credit my choice of email client for virus protection, too. I also use Thunderbird on my Win2K box at work, and that keeps me from inadvertently executing any virus mails that might happen to slip through the filters on our mail server. Any other client that can't be fooled into autoexecuting emails will work for this purpose, too. I won't touch Outlook Express with a 50-foot pole. |

Rydain: Tell that to Sympatico users.  I have to put up with FREQUENT firewall attacks from them because they don't know how to use firewalls or a/v software, they use OE and read every e-mail they get, and spread viruses all over the network. Quite annoying.
But that e-mail pretty much takes the cake.  That person's not going to sell any placebo pills with that approach. |
