As you may know, I'm working on an NES PC. This is the coolest computer I ever made. Anyone with questions can freely ask me.

What type of mobo is that small? How many watts of power is it going to be getting? Is it going to hook up to a tv or a monitor? Just some questions since I am doing some console modding too(legal like painting and making different cases for it)....

hehe, that would be pretty cool.

there should be ebough room for a harddrive and CD in there, the NES isn't much smaller than a laptop...

It'd be cool if you could make a program or something that makes a real NES controller compatible with it for when you run NES emulators.

I have a Laptop DVD/CD-RW combo drive for it, and the hard drive is small enough, so it should all fit together. I'm planning on putting Red Hat 9 on it.

Looks pretty bad ass.

And Red Hat would be a perfect choice OS for it.

I would assume it's a VIA Epia (mini-ATX) board/CPU.

And no, RedHat wouln't be perfect. XP Media Center (or whatever) would be... it's the OS most ppl use on HTPC's (home theater PC's)

It's funny... I have yet to see XP Media Centre working. It costs too much, you know.

RedHat Linux would be a solid choice. It'll never crash!

Why, it's not like WinXP crashes... at least it's never done so on me outside of HalfLife or BF1942

Remember my recent reinstall of XP?

That was due to it crashing at random. Every 45 minutes for one week it started to crash by some error in Ntfs.drv. That just shouldn't happen... If only Microsoft weren't so greedy about money and cared a little bit more about the customers. This is getting off-topic, and I'm ending it...

I hope your NES PC comes out well! It's far from being the first, but I really like your keyboard.

We're sorry if our computers work.

I was wondering how you'd get a set of components into a system like that, but incoprorating some laptop parts, that could work

How's it going? I'd really like to see pics of it running.

Wow! I've seen alot of custom PC jobs, but this has got to be one of the best. I remember once seeing a PC with a built-in coffee maker, but then again I don't like coffee anyways. I'm sure it'll be great once it's complete.

Offtopic, yeah Win XP is stable. But is it me or does Win XP get's unstable after you have switched user a few times? The most unstable part of Windows is Internet explorer and the Explorer for some reason.

The heat, I hope it get's enough cooling. Unless you like the smell of burnt CPU.

Yeah take pictures of it in Action.

Tom: I'm using Red Hat because it's free I'm not willing to buy another copy of XP. And yes, it's a VIA EPIA M10000 (1.0gHz) mobo.

I'll probably boot Damn Small Linux on it and take a picture of that, since that doesn't require a hard drive (In other words, I'm not done with some stuff ).

I still want to make a NES-PC, But I don't have a Spare-NES here. And mine still works since 1990.

And I need 2 new PC's anyway. one is 5 years old, and thats the younger one.

Cymoro, where do you have the NES parts?

I would do something nice of them if I were you.

wow, that looks really cool , how long did it take to make it? I can image it being pretty time consuming, although it was probably really fun to make too.

That is a good question! IF you have them still, I'll give you $10 for them! (if they work)
