Download it here. I wrote this some time ago, in a remix. I already remixed that song 3 times or something, so I decided to make an original out of it. While I was working on it, the computer crashed so I had to start over. I redid the song because of that. I think it turned out to be pretty good. Comments are appreciated. Hmmm... Could use a few vocals, and it sounds rather midi-ish... I'm kinda more for that whole death-metal/hard rock thing. LIke most of the songs on Moby's Animal Rights. Really, was this a midi?

An "mp3" is basically a compressed wave file that can be played in virtually all media players on pc's and programs called mp3 players. Now, if it was a midi it would've looked like this: "outdoorsthing.mid." Do you understand? Good. Originally posted by Clockworkz How cute! (edited by Iggy Koopa on 08-14-04 09:57 AM) |

That's not what I meant. What I meant was, "was this a midi that you converted into an MP3 file?" I thought that what you meant by "writing a song" and "make an original" was actually writing the lyrics, getting some people (or yourself on a guitar or a piano) and performing. That's all. Truthfully? I didn't like it, but I didn't hate it. In smiley format, I'd give it a '_' which is so-so.

Though "song" means something with lyrics, most people interpret it as a piece of music. This song will be impossible to do by myself, or even other people. It'd need: A violinist, a person who plays a viola, a choir, a person who plays the flute, the cello, the oboe, a guitarist, a drummer, and two pianists, one playing a Rhodes Piano and the other playing an acoustic piano. Oh, and I'd have to somehow get a music box to play that in the opening. Frankly, if this was done live, it won't be as special to me. Summery/Conclusion/Whatever: Learn what "writing a song," "making an original," and the term "MIDIish" is. (edited by Iggy Koopa on 08-14-04 09:57 AM) (edited by Iggy Koopa on 08-18-04 09:40 PM) |

Or you coulda just puled a Moby EDIT: By that, I mean you could have just done all the instruments yourself on a synth and recorded it into a mike and... yeah. Moby does that, basically. (edited by Clockworkz on 05-28-04 08:44 AM) |

...My brain hurts from reading Clocky's posts... Anyway, no you DON'T need vocals, or any of the stuff that Clocky said. It sounds fine. It actually is better than the last "song" (i.e. composition) that you released, IMO. I couldn't even tell it was a remix, really. As a matter of fact, I still can't tell. What was it a remix of? |

This song makes me think of the first level of an RPG, or something. I think it would make good videogame music. I can see a character stepping out of his house into the streets of the quite little suburban town he lives in, to be met by this as the town's music. That's just what I get from it, though... |

It used to be a remix of Duck Tales' Moon Level theme, but I remixed that 3 times already (as of now, its 5), so I extracted the original parts from my remix and made another song based on my original sections. Speaking of music, I just made another one. |
