It's International Pi Day! http://mike.gamingvortex.net/stuff/pi.txt!!!! Pi has had more than one trillion (1,000,000,000,000) digits discovered now. I'll have to find a link. (edited by Mike on 03-14-04 06:03 PM) |

I didn't know they had a day for this Weird.. Only numbers of Pi I know are 3.14 I didn't know any after that, and I didn't know they have discovered so many digits in Pi. I thought it was lower. |

3.141, so I'm a bit better in that regard. Sad thing is I bet people get PAID to find new digits of Pi. That's just sad. |

They do. Some company offered a considerable amount of money for someone to get to digit X (I forget which) (edited by Yiffy Kitten on 03-14-04 07:39 PM) |

Someone had an slow loading layout with like 1000 numbers of PI once I heard in the backround. And I only rembember the first three, 3.14. More than that is uneeded for basic math. |

I can remember up to 3.1415265 IIRC, one ancient Egyptian took his whole life to get 3.141. |

Originally posted by Mike I can remember up to 3.1415265 Um...that's 3.14159265. You missed a digit there. I just gradually learned the digits of pi...I knew about eight when I was in third grade... |

Woof, 3.14 works for me...although it'd be a good talking point to know a lot of them somehow. | |||

Pi is neither repeating (repeating is something like ".33333333333[...]") or terminating (like "6.2"), which means the numbers are endless. Supposadly. (Which I most likely misspelled.) |
