And now it looks like Shawn's going to go face again even though he would have done soooooooo well as a heel if the past few weeks were anything to go by. Summerslam didn't sound so bad. Nothing *great* but nothing terrible either, although they might have totally buried Matt Hardy. Way to go, pissing away that angle unless they REALLY follow it up strong tonight. I somehow doubt it. Just a couple of notes... - It's almost a given that after last night, the main event for the next PPV is John Cena vs. Kurt Angle. This is going to be the last HHH-free PPV for a while and they gave Angle the strong win last night to build up to it. If nothing else, Angle can drag a good match out of Cena. - Chris Jericho's final appearance for a while will be tonight on RAW. He's going to be doing the Fozzy thing for a while so he might not be back for a couple of months at least. - Ric Flair returns tonight as he's Carlito's guest on the Cabana. Hunter isn't returning until the first USA Network show in October. |

Shawn Micheals is the funniest (and at his best) when he's a heel. Matt Hardy falls deeper in a rut with that loss with Rob Conway last Monday. I'm starting not to like him again. On the internet they called the "Twist of Fate" a modified diamond cutter . Strange. This Monday 2 people impressed me. Victoria, beating the shit out of Ashley (another waste of time female like Christy Hemme ). Torrie and Candice turning heel might be interesting. We'll see, and Tyson Tomko, KOing Rosey. I thought he got fired. I think if they gave him a chance, he can amount to something in WWE, like beating the hell out of Carlito for the IC Championship, or become Carlito new big back up like Matt Morgan was. I can't wait till HHH comes back. I heard he was making movies. I wonder if he'll return clean, too. (edited by Link2004 on 08-31-05 02:56 PM) (edited by Link2004 on 08-31-05 03:20 PM) |

Judging by the spoilers, Smackdown is a must-see this week. Spoiler: Chris Benoit takes a crap in about as much time as it took to beat Orlando Jordan at Summerslam. Then proceeds to beat Jordan AGAIN. In 23.4 seconds. Yes, they have a timer. And Simon Dean outs Batista as a user of the Simon System. Wacky and zany hijinks (well, for Batista, at least) ensue in what turns out to be a total comedy match. |

Well, I'll be the judge of that when I watch it. I mean the Rey/Eddie Cage match should be a REAL classic and a future gem for the WWE vault. Their previous three matches were kick ass. As for JBL/Batista.....I thought their match at Summerslam was too short and it was a WEAK no holds barred in my opinion. They could have done a LOT more. Hopefully, the Bull Rope Match will be somewhat better. |

Rey/Eddie and JBL/Batista might be the ONLY matches on SD now. Don't forget that it's only going to be one hour thanks to the Hurricane Katrina telethon; the other matches announced might be shifted to Velocity or not shown. Wow, that's gonna be a short taping tomorrow night. I'm sure they'll get a couple of dark matches due to the circumstances. |

Hopefully the one hour is only going to happen just this week and not be changed from two to one. That would suck. Rey and Eddie matches need to stop for a long while in my opinion seeing as they have gone against each other too much now.

WWE is really starting to suck hard now, and I would suggest that everyone start watching TNA Impact when it makes its debut on Spike in the next month. It's a great alternative, and despite being only an hour long, it has more quality than two hours of Raw or Smackdown. Didn't watch Raw, but I have a feeling the only part I did get a chance to see (Flair/Carlito) was the best part, as this RAW was just terrible. I'm only going to Unforgiven since I don't have to pay $39.95 to see it at Hooters. |

Dunno I'd go THAT far, but TNA's got a chance. They've easily got some of the best of the indies (SIGN THE HUMAN TORNADO!) and whenever you can trot out, say, Alex Shelley v. Samoa Joe, you can get converts. (I may just be gay for the X Division, of course.)

It's only going to be one hour this week. Usually it's 8-10 and they didn't know there was going to be a telethon when they pretty much booked the entire show last week. If the telethon goes long, then they might be screwed since a lot of UPN stations switch to news at 10 PM. That's why they couldn't go with 9-11. So it's going to end up being a downplayed "season premiere". |

TNA has definetely got GREAT talent and amazing wrestling moves never before seen or done BUT it lacks the star power of WWE. If TNA can get even more well-known crusierweight stars like Ultimo Dragon, Jushin Thunder Liger, Great Sasuki I'd probably watch TNA a whole lot as they are some of my favorites. WWE has had some mediocre RAWs and horrid Smackdowns lately but I'm sure they will bounce back from it. They've been known to do that on several occasions. |

If they keep showing the same matches over and over and over again, I might just quit watching it myself. I'm so tired of Bradshaw vs Batista, Eddie vs Rey, MNM vs LOD, Beniot humiliting Orlando with this time shit, Booker t losing matches to rookies (Ken Kennedy, the Mexicools). I kinda glad it's on for one hour.

That's the problem with the brand extension....you are so damn limited to certain superstars hence you get a lot of the same matches. It is very ridiculous..... I think every PPV should have at least one "interpromotional" match between a RAW and Smackdown superstar. Not just Wrestlemania.... X_X |

Then it'll ruin the specialness of the interbrand PPV's. What they need is someone like Chris Kreski (NEVAR 4GET!) who'd keep track of feuds, and, dare I say it, a hint of Vince Russo's willingness to find something for everyone to do. (Oh, and the aforementioned Human Tornado is in my icon. Now you see the need for signing.) |

And it's going to be REALLY hard finding something for everyone to do when Heat/Velocity end at the end of the month. The Sunday morning show on USA (they'd better call it Superstars... ) is going to be for the RAW brand only and SD doesn't have a secondary show at the moment unless they end up deciding to put Velocity in syndication.

The first hour of SmackDown will be played on WWE.com then the second hour will be played on tv.

So who wants to put odds on Velocity ending up on wwe.com every week for the time being? :\ They seem to be testing out matches there since they've had one exclusive match each week for the past few weeks.

I do not care what they think, I watched WWE for life. I hope you're watching Friday Night Smackdown on a Saturday at 8PM thoughout the whole month until October 7th. And I thought Batista actually going to lose the World Heavyweight Title to JBL last week. (edited by insectduel on 09-12-05 11:58 AM) |
