It just seems disturbing to me by getting spit on with chunks of chewed up apple. Also, it's a waste of good food too.

I found that pretty funny too when I heard it. Fits the character, sadly. I think Carlito has to cheat more often in his matches to be an effective heel. |

I kinda like Carlito. While I don't think he is the finished article yet, he still has some fun aspects to his character, and the spitting thing... is not original, but fun. Don't listen to me though- Im the kind of person that thinks Simoyn Dean is actually going to be good.

In about four hours I'm going to go see Smackdown. I won't tell anything that happens when I get back though. Plus, for the pics about me wearing my cat ears there. My mom didn't have enough money to get film so no pics but I am wering my cat ears there though. Like I'm wearing them right now.

...That's fine, there's only about 50 websites we can get the info from. I hope you're all voting for Shawn Michaels for Taboo Tuesday. I really am. It'll be great to see the look on Vince's face when he sees that Shawn got 50% of the vote... and probably can't go tomorrow night because he tore his meniscus in the main event tonight. XD The PPV. Is. Screwed. |

I dont care for the main event, I voted Steven Richards for the IC title match. Yes, Christian is a great, but for once I felt pity on poor Stevie and gave it to him. None of he other matches really interested me. Finally got round to reading Mick Foley's Have A Nice Day... I know, I should have read it already, but incredibly I haven't. Im not too much of an autobiography person, but Mick's is hilarious. It also got me in a mood to watch some old ECW dvds. And none of my photos from the RAW show came out. We either got pics of the row ahead, pitch black, or tiny shots of the wrestlers. |

It was in the middle of october, the line was around the block, and Foley even gave his sock to a little kid I was waiting with. Good times... As for Taboo Tuesday, I feel let down. Mostly because the Snitsky match was such a letdown. Props to Shawn Michaels, though, for wrestling with a bum leg. |

Originally posted by Mr. F-Zero Yeah that happened to me when I went to see RAW earlier this year. But I wasn't that close up though. I did move up near the front row to take a few pics which still didn't come out. As for Taboo Tuesday, I never got to order it. So, I have no idea what went on but my bf did tell me about it though. Except, for the Eugene vs Eric match. Anyone care to tell me about that match? |

Um... You don't want to know. Long story short, Eugene squashed Bischoff, the stip chosen was the head shaving, Bischoff tried to back out of it but Vince put a stop to that, and somewhere in all that Coach had to wear the dress. |

Ok...so does that mean Coach has to wear the dress like that stip suggested they had to do or was it just for that night? I would have liked to see all three stips done to one person, mainly Eric. Cuz it would be so funny to see a bald guy, wearing a dress and being a servant all at the same time. Pure torture right there if I have to say so. Oh well at least Eric got shaved bald. Which mom says happened to him once before but I don't know about that.

We just got WWE Raw and some other thing here in Sweden. Well maybe we've had it before, but this is the first time I've ever seen it. It was possibly the worst thing I have ever watched. Two guys in silly spandex suits slowly walking around pretending to hit each other. And there was also a guy shouting for like 10 minutes about how someone was a legend and one was not. I can't belive this thread has like a million pages, what can there be to discuss really? Please try to explain to an innocent swede what you guys see as the greatness in this. |

It is a machismo soap opera and an acrobatics competition. It is a test of strength and a game of wits. It is joy. It is sorrow. It is love and hate. It is Sports Entertainment. ---Evil Peer |

Bear in mind, max, that what you are just now seeing is the watered down stuff. If you look hard enough, you can find better wrestling videos out there somewhere. Heck, most of the earlier WWF stuff was better than today. But why do we still watch? (Insert What Evil Peer Just Said Here) |

Yeah I've missed all those hardcore matches they used to have.

I don't. The problem with the hardcore matches was that they were fun at first... then cool... then monotonous. How many ways can you hit someone with a cookie sheet? |

I think what they may have to do is start using hardcore matches in moderation. I remember when the hardcore title was around, and the matches seemed to get a bit canned (pardon the pun). The last Hardcore Holly match was quite refreshing. A hardcore match every other week or so just may bring the ratings up a bit. EDIT: Typos suck. (edited by Jarukoth on 10-23-04 02:02 PM) |

Watched Taboo Tuesday, generally OK. Props to Shawn, you could literally see the adrenalin pumping into him as he tried to get up. And the Cage match was great- the image of two crimson-masked warriors, one passing the torch to the next, was pretty great stuff. max, WWE is sports-entertainment, in other words it trys to take the best of entertainment and wrestling. Trouble is, it fails to find a comprimise and it generally isnt good, either way. If you want really good wrestling that will actually make you gasp at how good/astonishing/insert superlative it is, try a tape from Japan (1994 Super J-Cup, for example) or some classic bouts from the independants (AJ Styles vs. Low Ki, for instance). If you want hardcore or good entertainment, you must see ECW- between 1994 and 1996, ECW was the real sports-entertainment in wrestling. From trash soap to psychological games, uber-cool characters like Sandman and Raven that kicked the shit out of guys at the time like Diesel and Sting, and incredibly bloody, extreme maneuvers by guys like Cactus Jack and Sabu. The 1995 King of the Japanese Death Match is painful to watch, but is the best/worst example of 'hardcore' wrestling (ignore that stupid CZW stuff... people being hooked into their backs into the ceiling just isnt amusing, its downright disgusting). Right now wrestling as a whole is going through a recession and it wont be popular again for a few years. Thats how it goes, anyway. |

Sadly, I need to bump this due to... FIRINGS. Or releases. However you want to put it. In any event, the WWE has been REALLY busy giving people the chop. On Monday: - A-Train ($200,000 a year, no plans for him) - Billy Gunn ($200,000 a year, was sent to rehab a few weeks ago after passing out in an airport lobby, no idea if they'll still pay for that or not) - Test (Rehabbing neck injury, was fired DESPITE the fact he's on the shelf for at least 6 more months, will not get paid despite being injured) And then just a couple of hours ago... - Chuck Palumbo (Absolutely no plans for him) - Nidia (Former Tough Enough winner, presumably no plans for her) - Gail Kim (The real "WTF?!?" of the bunch; I can't think of any reasons as to why she was released considering she was involved in the Lita beatdown on RAW) |

Aw, CRAP! I friggin' loved Gail Kim too...I guess they just hate talent. Almost all the rest are justified. I always liked Billy Gunn, but if he's not healthy, stop him quick. We don't need another wrestling death... |
