Emerging from a copse of trees was an enormous dark-skinned man, several inches greater than six feet in height and certainly approaching 300 pounds. The lightly armored fighter pulled a tremendous greatsword from a similarly tremendous scabbard on his back, and stood at the ready. Side by side, Callean Silvershield and Targus Titanbreath stood opposite the forces of Hell. |

When Callean stepped to parry Hiei's attack, Targus moved to occupy the other enemy without missing a beat. Generally more vocal in combat than Callean tended to be, Targus struck fiercely and grunted, growled, or shouted with every heavy strike of his easily-handled greatsword. | Callean had ample time to raise his shield and effectively negate the raining embers, but Targus' armor left him with no such option. He was hit full-force with the four fireballs aimed at him. Surprisingly, the massive fighter exhibited no signs of pain or disability from the flames. If anything, he became more fierce as the fire burned his exposed arms and singed the leather that was strapped, laced, or braided throughout parts of his armor. |

| Working fluidly in tandem, the two noble swordsmen managed to maneuver in such a way that Hiei had no choice but to redirect at Targus. The dark-skinned fighter's heavy blade was a superb foil for Hiei's powerful weapon, the former turning aside all of the latter's enraged strikes. Now in control of the battle's momentum, Callean and Targus conspired to attack Hiei simultaneously. |

| Callean and Targus found themselves in a bad way. The two were nearing fatigue, and the fiery barrier posed a new problem to be tackled. It was much to the surprise of both that, as he was about to strike again, the evil demon vanished instantly. His foul magic was dispelled, and the area became abruptly and oddly silent. All that remained where the demon and his ally once stood were gray markings on the ground, almost resembling spilt paint. The two fighters looked to the heavens, perplexed but grateful for the annihilation of the fiendish devil. |
