| Hi, I love this board.... i'm presently running a phpBB forum but i have to admit that this one looks better. I'm just wondering if there's a way to allow members to put a background image in their topics..... just like here but on a phpbb forum. Since they are both php based... i guess it is possible.... Thank you very much. p.s.: Who ever created this forum is pretty damn good. |

| No. PHPBB does not allow for those capabilities, unless you modify the code to allow full signatures like an AcmlmBoard. | |||

Well, ask Ace  Or Erk... or someone like that. PM one of them. I'm not sure how you'd go about hacking phpbb to do that, but this board was built from scratch, so it's not like its a hacked phpbb board. |

| You'll have to allow for all HTML on phpBB, and add post headers to the board. It's not impossible, but I'm unsure how hard it is. | |||

| For just allowing post backgrounds, you'd just need another field in whatever table stores the user data for the URL of the BG, and then in the actual threadview just use < For a little thing like a background, that'd work, but for layouts... eh. |

| It should'nt be too hard. Just add a table in users called "header" and "signature" and write the code. You would need all HTML on. I would say just go with a Acmlmboard and not a PHPBB. But thats me.XD (edited by Randy53215 on 05-18-04 03:44 PM) |
