| Schwa puts on a black blindfold, blinding himself. Immediately he can see his foe more clearly through his sixth sense, his 'mental' power. Focusing his spirit-like powers into his palm, he cloaks his right hand in etheral energy, which can damage the foe's magical energies, or mana, if they happen to be hit by the ether. "Would you like to see what happens to a foe when his opponent trains in the mountains, forests, and caves every day?" Schwa says as he calmly walks toward his opponent. "Have you ever fought with a psi warrior before? Good luck, worthy opponent." |

"Oooh, I like birds!" he says. He holds up the hourglass to the attack. The hourglass has a large fault in the middle. "Oh well, it's not that bad of an attack." He then draws his dagger from the hourglass. "This is the Eternity Hourglass...it is one of my favorite artifacts." He smirks, then puts his hand in the hourglass again. He draws out a dagger identical to the one in his other hand! He puts the daggers in his jacket-pocket, then draws 2 more from the hourglass! "Now, this hourglass will be an eternal gate for me to draw my enchanted dagger from!" He then promptly puts the hourglass in his jacket and throws both of the daggers at the ground, releasing 2 shockwaves. One is at the ground; the other is aimed at Schwa's chest. "I may not be a mighty psi warrior, but I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve!" |

| "Brother, that's cool! I thought for sure it would be some kinda time-stopping device. OOC Would you mind telling me what my attack did to it, if anything?" Schwa's etheral hand changes from pale blue-green to azure. He then throws the ether in the air, off his hand, which comes down and lands on Schwa, surrounding him in blue rings. "This is a move I use rarely, but it's a good defense. "Plasmatech Barrier!!!" (echo effects) Schwa then starts running toward the shockwaves, fast. Right before they reach him, he leaps only a little bit, allowing the ground shockwave to miss and the air wave to hit him right in the chest. Instead of explode and fall to the ground, Schwa absorbs the shockwave into his body. He then lands and kneels. "Whew. Absorbing energy attacks is useful because I gain 50% of the mana it cost to use, but still take a bit of damage. Still, if enough o' those come my way, I'll have enough mana to summon an Air Elemental!" Schwa then thrusts his hand toward the stovepipe man, and the blue rings fly toward him at a variety of speeds, angles, and positions. "Dodge that, if possible! Dodge them all and I'll give you a blue ribbon! Bwa ha ha ha...." |

"No need to dodge it; I'll just counter it!" He pulls out his heavy broadsword, along with a noxious-looking liquid. He quickly pours some of the stuff onto his broadsword and spreads it around a little. The broadsword glows a coruscating yellow. He grips it menacingly, then slashes at the air in a star-shaped pattern. It seems as if gouges appear with eaach cut. They grow bigger and bigger, until soon they are completely shrouding APH. "Let's see you penetrate this!" |

| "Tsk, tsk. I, in fact, have the most simple solution to the problem before me. Sure you've blocked the plasma rings, but..." The blue plasma rings are disintegrated in APH's barrier "...in order to maintain such a powerful shield, you need 1 of 2 things. 1: Mental concentration, as all my attacks require. Or 2: chemical science. Since you spread a liquid over your sword, that was obviously chemical science. And such attacks are almost always temporary. Of course, if it was mental concentration, the effect could last as long as you willed it to, which then of course could be countered by another stong mental will... mine. If you and I were to ever get into a mindduel, you know who would win. So you rely only on your gizmos, meaning you're only as good as your gadgets. "You're eventually gonna be dry of gizmos one o' these days; I suggest you start using some energy attacks on me, too. Unless of course, you admit your will is inferior to mine..." Schwa then emits an epic sound pulse, summoning a small, blue bird to his side which lands peacefully on his shoulder. Right after the sound, for a brief second, APH almost thinks he saw Schwa reel from energy loss. He could've imagined it. "I suppose you're wondering what this is. You'll learn if you don't deactivate the shield soon. I'm gonna count to 10. One, two..." |

"Aw don't worry, it's only temporary." He says with a friendly grin. Sure enugh, the dimensional sheild disappears after only a short while. "So, you want energy attacks, huh? Gladly!" He takes out a small white orb and holds it in his hands. The orb begins glowing and expanding in APH's hands. When it is large enough, he squeezes it raw, and a swirl of energy comes out, aiming at Schwa's bandana. "Most of my gizmos are simply amplifiers for my energy-based attacks; I just wanted to use simple stuff at first in order to keep you on your toes." |

| Suddenly, Schwa's face turns red. "Keep me on my toes!!? You are dishonorable! You treat me like an apprentice!! If anyone is an apprentice to the other, it's YOU!!! I was planning on doing something to you with this bird, but you changed my plans. I'm using raw power on you!!!" The energy blast headed toward Schwa's eyes is close. Schwa runs toward it and takes the full blow in the chest, absorbing it as he did the shockwave. Then, he holds his hand in the air, and it starts to glow with blue fire, not just etheral fire. The flames grow bigger, and suddenly Schwa starts running toward APH full speed. "YAAAAAAUGH!!!" As he screams, the flames spread out over his whole body, cloaking him in a blue fireball. Right before he reaches APH, he stops and thrusts his hands forward. The blue fireball, which is bigger than APH by a lot, is thrown toward him at 90 MPH. "Ahhh..." *plop* Schwa then collapses from high energy usage... |

"Wow, you're mad!" says APH. He tenses himself then strikes out with his now-enchanted broadsword right when the fireball is about to strike him. He is sent spinning backwards by the force of the blow from the fireball. He lays on the ground for awhile. "I fight with no less honor than you." he declares dizzily. |

| There is silence for a long time. Then, suddenly, Schwa starts shaking and sobbing. "You're right. I allowed my rage to take over, a huge disgrace for any psi warrior. We're equals as far as fighting goes, right?" Schwa then lets out a big sigh. This battle's been pretty rough for him, both physically and mentally. "If you still feel up to going rounds with me, we can continue to fight but this time like honorable men. Cool?" Schwa gets up wearily and offers to help APH off the ground. |

| "Let's see who's energy attacks are stronger!" Schwa says as he puts on his black blindfold, which fell off in the fireball excitement. His right hand becomes surrounded in white, etheral fire. Suddenly he yells, "OUCH! ...Gawd, I think I'm running low on mana. A psi warrior is nothing without mana." Though low on energy reserves, he effortfully walks to fight APH. "I wish I had some cool MegaMan attack. Oh yeah, that requires mana, too. But at least each attack has it's own energy gauge, unlike my attacks which all use the same mana reserve." |

Schwa gets fairly lucky. One attack is an acid, which simply gets absorbed. The other one pierces the shield and damages Schwa. |
