This is a simple suggestion: It would be great if a there was something to mark a forum read when you're browsing "index.php". It's becoming anoying of always having to go in a forum (one that I don't have any interrest in), and then marking it. | |||

A small link directly below the description would be good. I like this idea. Erk, you should do it... you're the most active staff member in H/S |

I honestly don't understand why you'd need this. Personally, I don't even bother marking the forums I don't read as read... I just leave them alone (they permanently have that "new" marker, but it doesn't bother me). Just my $0.02.... |

The manual mark-read-per-forum ist uperior to the setting in phpBBs, VBBs and all other forums. Like when you load the fitting /index.phps of the pages, going somewhere else without opening a new Tab, then go back; the board probably marked the forums read, although you never went into a forum now I only post in General Chat, four or five of all forums as well regularly, but I mark these forums usually read per forum when I'm done, then going on /index.php and hit "Mark all forums read", to remove all the "NEW"s from the forums I'm not interested in anyway, just as said in the initial answer here |

and I think someoen else said it best if you don't read the forum what difference dose it make if there is a new icon or not ?? if you aren't reading it the new icon should be completely irrelevant |
