| i've had this ingrown toenail for quite some time. a few years ago I went to the doctor about it. he gave me like no attention because every ten seconds he'd go talk on his cell with his insurance company. it was a fucking waste of time. then he told me to soak it in water and if it doesn't magically heal or whatever, he'll cut it off. what? so I was like bullshit and left. it was a little red bump, slightly painful, and remained that way until a few weeks ago. I don't know what the hell happened, but it's been bleeding like hell. The bump is huge, there's always pus coming out or something (I don't bother cleaning it constantly anymore. it just comes immediately back) and like, my nail is turning green. and my toe is in a lot more pain than usual. it hurts.  |

Shit, I have an ingrowm. It hurts to the very touch. Red and bloated, it spews puss everytime I take a shower or go to gym class. It is not fun or cool. I've seen a doctor several times. Ask him to cut that end of the nail down as far as it'll go. That's what he did to me; it came back because I have a chronic disorder wherein I cut my big toe nails down to the cuticle.  |

ergh, sounds like its infected....not good  my dad had one infected...had to go in for surgery, and they did some shit to his toe...I dunno, i just know theres somthing in there that wasn't there before apparently  happened before I was born so I really don't know the details too well.I've actualy had one of these before...if you wanna tend to it, they make medicines (I'm assuming over the counter, since we just happen to magicly get some) or ointment, or somthing that you can spread over it, and if you're consistant it can eventualy die down...but I don't know if it would work at this point, but you could always try...that's the best advice I got for ya |

| ick. I'm scarred for life ever since that maniacal surgeon blunted away part of my toenail. YD, you might have a fungus infection, if your nail is recoloring, then go to a real doctor to get antibiotics and the whole works. I was told that the infection was about to hit my bone, that was kinda frightening. My toe looks like cra now, almost as bed as when that fuzzy green stuff grew on it, and all that puss and occasional blood. It was cool to freak out my mom though, she had trouble looking at it for some reason. I bet Uma wouldn't be afraid of my toe. She'd make a better mom.  |

| Go get it taken care of. The surgery is really no big deal. They dope your foot up on so much stuff that you don't feel a thing. The only bad thing I can think of is that it makes your toenail look a bit thinner then normal after that. That's all. |

| the bad part is they only dope your toe up. It seemed to me like the surgeon was trying to bang my toe, really viciously. just wait till the stuff runs out. First time ever I smacked my fist open, and that's saying alot if you know how "strong" I am XD |

| When an ingrown finger nail made me mad I bit it out. I don't think you would want to do that with your toe though. Just go to the doctors and get surgery since it will hurt worse over time. Pain isn't your friend. Unless it is happening to someone you hate. |

| I get ingrown toe nails all the time. When one of them leaves another one come out of no where. There never as bad as Yoshi Dudes though thats gotta hurt. Mines just get all swolen and red and then purple the nail stays fin but the area around it throbs in pain at the slightest touch. I actually have one right now but its not too bad.....but if anyone steps on it I swear Im gonna choke em! |

Good news! I actually fixed my toe just the other day  Just cut the nail down as low as you can and pul it out with tweesers, then clean it and bandage it. It feels so much better now... |

| ew people. ew. I'm going to a doctor. This is nonsense.. plus I'll get to skip softball. Hopefully. I've never got surgery before. When I posted this, I was hoping for a nice simple remedy. Hah.. hell awaits me, I guess. I didn't know this problem was that common either.. |
