No. If the man is telling the truth, the woman is also telling the truth when she says she's a native. The problem is that if she was telling the truth, she then be a visitor. Which would make her a liar, so she'd be a native...and so on and so forth. So the man is obviously lying. |

Question 49: Based on the laws of the U.S. Constitution, there are five requirements a person must meet in order to become President of the United States: The candidate must: -must be at least 35 years old -must be a citizen of the United States -must have resided in the United States for at least 14 years -must have been born in the United States. There is one more requirement. What is it? Announcer: Hmm, where's Teddylot when you need him to say something quirky. >.> Note: There are another 4 Bonus Points available. See page 9 (Default 20 posts/page). You have until Friday at 6:00 p.m. to figure them out. Announcer: *taps foot* Dang it, where's Teddylot? *dun dun dun* |

Technically, I think it's getting 255 electoral votes, or somewhere thereabouts. But yeah, Kirby's got the right idea.

Question 50: Mr. and Mrs. Payload were walking home from the shopping mall with their purchases when Mr. Payload began to complain that his load was too heavy. Mrs. Payload turned to her husband and said, "I don't know what you're complaining about because if you gave me one of your parcels, I would have twice as many as you, and if I gave you just one of mine, we would have equal loads." I'm gonna give bonus 2 a shot. The quotation (I think) is from Death of a Salesman, written by Arthur Miller, published in October of 1976. I'll give the other one a try after breakfast. |

Announcer: Now where is that stupid bear? *picks up a walkie talkie from nowhere* Hello, is this the producer of the show? . . . Yes, this is the star of it. . . No, I'm not Teddylot, I'm the Announcer. . . . But that's exactly what I wanted to talk to you about. He's missing. Just send out a GIM Search Team out to look for him. . . Try the hallways. He usually gets lost there. *hangs up* Now, where were we? Oh yeah, points. Screen of Points: NSNick -- 16 Points Jagori -- 11 Points Kirby All The Way -- 9 Points Kefka -- 6 Points Felix -- 6 Points LostAuzzie -- 3 Points Emptyeye -- 3 Points Geeogree -- 1 Point Ultimanium -- 1 Point neotransotaku -- 1 Point wolfman2000 -- 1 Point JJ64 -- 1 Point Screen of Shame: Jarukoth -- 0 Points Edsgravy0 -- 0 Points Xkeeper -- 0 Points ETG -- 0 Points Announcer: Hmm, I hope Teddylot's alright. With out him, I might lose my fan base. Question 51: What is the product of the following series?: (X-A) x (X-B) x (X-C) x (X-D) . . . . x (X-Z) Announcer: Oh yeah, and sorry about the delay. Exams and all. Note: There are another 2 Bonus Points available. See page 9 (Default 20 posts/page). You have until Friday at 6:00 p.m. to figure them out. |

X to the 26th power, plus 26 times ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ, plus -AX to the 25th, times -BX to the 25th.... times -ZX to the 25th. Is that right, or am I far off?

The answer to this one is zero. Obviously, each letter is a number. However, you will encounter X - X. X - X = 0, and 0 times anything is 0. |

Announcer: Woah, JJ! You've stopped making sense! Anyway, the points go to wolfman2000 making that his second point. You might want to work harder if you want to catch up. Screen of Points: NSNick -- 16 Points Jagori -- 11 Points Kirby All The Way -- 9 Points Kefka -- 6 Points Felix -- 6 Points LostAuzzie -- 3 Points Emptyeye -- 3 Points wolfman2000 -- 2 Points Geeogree -- 1 Point Ultimanium -- 1 Point neotransotaku -- 1 Point JJ64 -- 1 Point Screen of Shame: Jarukoth -- 0 Points Edsgravy0 -- 0 Points Xkeeper -- 0 Points ETG -- 0 Points Screen of Valiant Effort: Apple -- 0 Points Announcer: Hmm, that's odd. >.> The beloved Screen of Valiant Effort has just reappeared after not showing up for a while. That's messed up! I guess those computers weren't as efficient as we thought. Question 52: Clem Walton, a wealthy hermit, lives alone in a small cottage bordering the town of Proton. Being partially handicapped Clem had everything delivered to his cottage. The mailman was delivering his war veteran's cheque one Thursday when he noticed that the front door was ajar. Through the opening he could see Clem's body lying in a pool of dry blood. When Shadow arrived he surveyed the scene. On the porch were two bottles of warm milk, a Monday's newspaper, a local hardware store catalogue, charity flyers and unopened mail. The autopsy confirmed Clem had been dead for several days. Who does Shadow suspect of foul play and why? Announcer: Hmm, don't forget about this. Note: BONUS POINT: Last chance to answer. See page 9 (default 20 page/post setting). He would suspect the paperboy (Or girl). Monday's paper is there, but Tuesday and Wednesday's (And Thursday's) paper are NOT there. The paperperson didn't deliver them on those days, knowing our poor hermit was dead.

Announcer: *hangs up the handy walkie talkie* Well, sorry folks, but the wily teddy bear, Teddylot, is still being looked for. Therefore, you'll have to cope with my solo dullness until he is found. Anyway . . . Screen of Points: NSNick -- 16 Points Jagori -- 11 Points Kirby All The Way -- 9 Points Kefka -- 6 Points Felix -- 6 Points Emptyeye -- 4 Points LostAuzzie -- 3 Points Geeogree -- 1 Point Ultimanium -- 1 Point neotransotaku -- 1 Point wolfman2000 -- 1 Point JJ64 -- 1 Point Screen of Shame: Jarukoth -- 0 Points Edsgravy0 -- 0 Points Xkeeper -- 0 Points ETG -- 0 Points Screen of Valiant Effort: Apple -- 0 Points Announcer: Oh yeah, and as for the bonus points that were available to you, yet not answered, are no longer up for grabs. The cartoon was "The Fairly Oddparents" and the episode was "Microphoney." A classic . . . just like this game show. Question 53: Which number is next in this series: 10, 4, 3, 11, 15, ...? (a) 14, (b) 1, (c) 17, (d) 12. Announcer: Oh, and if you can, just give the reason why it's so. Good luck! (edited by Teddylot on 06-13-04 01:01 PM) |

I love this one. 14, because 10 has 3 letters, 4 has 4 letters, 3 has 5 letters, 11 has 6 letters, and 15 has 7 letters, and 14 has 8 letters. So the answer is 14. |

Announcer: Hmm . . . you answered that pretty quickly. I'm not suspecting you of anything, but it does make you want to scratch those invisible chin hairs. Screen of Points: NSNick -- 16 Points Jagori -- 11 Points Kirby All The Way -- 9 Points Kefka -- 6 Points Felix -- 6 Points Emptyeye -- 4 Points LostAuzzie -- 3 Points wolfman2000 -- 2 Points JJ64 -- 2 Points Geeogree -- 1 Point Ultimanium -- 1 Point neotransotaku -- 1 Point Screen of Shame: Jarukoth -- 0 Points Edsgravy0 -- 0 Points Xkeeper -- 0 Points ETG -- 0 Points Screen of Valiant Effort: Apple -- 0 Points Announcer: You know what's been nagging me. What do you all really think of my co-host Teddylot? So in order to find out I'm going to hold a poll. If you think Teddylot is a strong asset to the MindTrap crew, vote yes. If you think otherwise or can't think at all, vote no. Question 44: "Therein lies the secret," said Scheming Suzie. "For you see, there is a seven-letter word in the English language that contains ten words without rearraging any of its letters." What is the word? Announcer: Also, try and pinpoint all ten words if you can. Now, off to the polls and/or thinking chair. |
