Teddylot: *eyes LostAuzzie suspiciously* And I thought you were smart. Announcer: For a note, your answer is physcially impossible. The answer we are looking for is physically possible. |

Originally posted by Teddylot I am, my guess was as good as the rest. Oh well I'll have to say that the only other option I can think of is pour them in at different times because you cant seperate them with oil because the oil would rise to the top (I've tried it before) and as you said the colour idea wont work so yeh, pour them in at different times. Or if you had the barrel, connected to a pipe or something you could pour the water in, drain it and pour the next lot in (seal the pipe before doing this though) that way you know which water came from which jug. I can't believe this. No pouring or freezing is required if you just put the jugs in the barrel. |

Teddylot: Hmm, looks like NSNick had the right idea all along. Announcer: And it was that Jagori was right. Question 23: It is impossible for anyone to survive longer than one week without drinking, yet Abdullah managed a ten day desert crossing without finding water or bringing any along. How was this possible? |

I have a number of possible answers for this, probably all wrong... I'll start off with "He was drinking something besides water". |

Teddylot: *turns back to new contestant* We were expecting you . . . *turns around* with a right answer, and unfortunately, yours was wrong. Soooo, just keep pummeling us with those other ideas of yours or you just might end up on that dreaded Screen of Shame. Your reputation as a mastermind at brain teasers may be at risk. Announcer: Welcome back to the board, Emptyeye. Teddylot: Yeah, that too. I remember reading about you in Acmlm Board History Books. |

Well I'm going to Ireland for two weeks in a couple days, that should give people a chance to catch me, and probably pass me. I'm gonna have my work cut out for me when I get back! And I've heard this one before, so I'm not going to answer |

Teddylot: Good answer, but no. Abdullah is human. Oh, and there is nothing special about him. He's just a regular guy. | |||

I'll say that Abdullah is, in fact, dead. He made the trek, but he didn't do so alive (IE someone else carried his corpse with them on the journey). |

Well, I say this... A desert is merely a barren wasteland. It cannot support plants and such unless they are dry plants. Tundras can be considered deserts, even though they're not what we think of as deserts. However, I am going to go out on a limb and say he was in a tundra... like in Alaska or something. Since a tundra can be a desert by its true definition. Therefore, he ate snow the whole time to survive. Kirby was half right... actually, his answer is where I got my idea from. Good work, Kirb. |

Hmmm, I'll throw two answers out there even though I'm pretty sure neither of them are correct. 1) It rained, since that does happen (though not often), and he filled a canteen with rain water. Although I'm pretty sure that would be "finding water". 2) He had a filtration unit for sanitizing and cleansing his own urine. Disgusting, I know, but better than dying, eh? |

Teddylot: I like acidic water, too, NSNick. Anyway, Kefka got it right. And he answered it quite thouroughly, which just makes you want to scrath your chin. Screen of Points: Jagori -- 7 Points NSNick -- 4 Points LostAuzzie -- 3 Points Kefka -- 3 Points Geeogree -- 1 Point Kirby ATW -- 1 Point Ultimanium -- 1 Point Felix -- 1 Point neotransotaku -- 1 Point wolfman2000 -- 1 Point Screen of Shame: Jarukoth -- 0 Points Edsgravy0 -- 0 Points Emptyeye -- 0 Points (This thing must be broken or something.) Teddylot: *whistles* Interesting predicament! Question 24: Suppose you have an open topped box that is 5cm x 5cm x 5cm. (capacity: 125: 125 cubic centimeters) Inside the box is a steel ball-bearing that is 25 cubic centimeters in size. Next to the box is a two liter pail filled with mercury. How many cubic centimeters of mercury would you have to pour into the box to completely submerge the ball bearing? |

Originally posted by Teddylot Well, I don't even know this next one, but if I come up with an answer, I'll give it. But you see, my last one was so thorough because I knew that because everyone else got their answers wrong, there was a word play in there somewhere. So I looked up the word desert first on dictionary.com... and viola! My answer! Anyway, for this next one I'll guess that there's yet another trick, because there always is. I'm not even going to try to do the math. I'll just guess that the top of the ball is higher than the top of the box, so no matter how much you put in there, you will not have enough to submerge it. |
