Teddylot: Well, looks like you've learned from your mistake because you're right. Announcer: But remember. Blunders like the one you just pulled could've been the loss of a point ... if NSNick were here. Teddylot: Good job, Jagori. Screen of Points: NSNick -- 30 points What? Still at thirty? That's very unlike you. Jagori -- 23 points Blunderful Kirby ATW -- 11 points Emptyeye -- 8 points Kefka -- 6 points Felix -- 6 points Grey -- 5 points Believe me! Announcer: And stupid people? Teddylot: Yeah, sure. I wonder what happened to them all. Announcer: They were banned. Teddylot: Oh ... well, that makes sense. Quesiton 95: There is a robot that is programmed to assemble children's toys. During laboratory tests, the robot assembled hundreds of toys without any errors. The day arrived when the robot was to give a public demonstration and as 'Murphy's Law' would have it, everything went wrong. The toy pieces were put into a carton and sealed and brought to the public demonstration. The robot was given the carton filled with toy pieces, but it was unable to assemble a single toy. What went wrong? |

This game reminds me of the war back in 62, when I took on an army of Ninja Pirate Robots with nothing but a Qwack-O-Ray and a half-charged Crotchitizer. (spot the reference) In the unlikely case NSNick's answer is wrong, what if he was given pieces of different toys to put together and couldn't figure it out because he wasn't given all the parts of a single toy to assemble... Teddylot: Nicely done, NSNick. That-a way to show those young'uns why you're the leader in this game show. Announcer: As for the other two ... well ... YOU'RE WRONG! ... Really. He called out and when Miss Led turned around and waved, Hardy was 400 meters behind and walking in her direction. They each walked 200 meters in a direct line, their faces toward each other. After their 200 meter walk, they were still 400 meters apart. How could this be? Teddylot: Don't worry, Grey. It usually takes a while for the Pirate Ninjas to get around-- OH MY GOSH!!!! Right there. On the wall closest to Grey and Teddylot was a dagger embedded into the concrete. On its hilt was the foreboding "black dot." Announcer: Nice knowing you. |

they were 400 meters (distance) apart. They each walked two hundred meters (parking meters) towards each other and we still 400 meters (parking meters) apart. Don't know if thats right, but it makes perfect sense to me, or maybe the meter thing is backwards, but yeah, talking about different meters. |

And you Grey ... well, you didn't really participate, sooooo minus one point. Question 97: It takes Sandy three hours to paint a fence, and it takes Claude six hours to complete the same job. How long would it take both of them working together at their normal paces to complete the same job? Explain. Teddylot: Did you get it this time, Grey? We were joking! Announcer: Man, we're so witty. |

3 hours. By the time sandy is 3/4 of the way done, then claude would be 1/4 of the way done. Divide 2 by 4 ya get .5 multiply by 3 and get 1.5, then divide 6 by four and get 1.5. add 1.5 to 1.5=3.

But sandy works twice as fast as claude does... Wouldn't that mean the ratio is 2:1 instead of 3:1? After 1 hour, sandy is 1/3 of the way done and claude is 1/6 of the way done. Gauging it to claude, that's 3/6 of the way done, or half done. In another hour, they're both done painting the fence. So it'd be two hours... But then, it doesn't really restrict jobs to painting fences. Though two hours is my answer, it seems a bit suspicious. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, sandy could just be really good at fence painting. Ah, who the hell am I kidding.... Two hours. If I'm wrong, may Ninja Pirates come and make me walk the pagoda plank. |

Should be 2 hours, barring any trickeration. So just in case there is any trickeration: No time at all, since the fence has already been painted. |

Teddylot: No trickeration on that question. Pure, cold, hard math. Announcer: And I'm guessing Kario likes to catch up on his sleep during that period. But, if he wants any chance of winnning. He's gonna have to hustle. Announcer: And not get killed. Question 98: Two men escaped from prison. Their footprints led to the edge of a cliff which is perpendicular to the sea, some 100 yards below. The soil was not disturbed anywhere in this area, except for their footprints. One man was over six feet tall and the other was barely five feet. According to the footprints, the taller man took a shorter stride. The shorter man walks heavily on his heels. The taller man walked behind the shorter man because he sometimes treaded over the smaller footprints, but never the other way around. They could not have walked backwards over their own footprints since each footprint is without overlap. The two men received no assistance and they did not jump. How did they manage to leave the cliff without leaving any retreating footprints? Teddylot: ... NINJA PIRATES!!! |

The taller man could have carried the shorter man on his back, then the issue of the overlapping footprints would be solved... Problem with that answer is you said they didn't walk back through their own footprints. But since the taller man would have larger feet (height and shoe size are biologically related for the most part), he could go through his strides and not worry about the shorter man's steps, since the unsynchronized steps wouldn't be an issue (the shorter man wouldn't be walking!). |

i don't quite understand that answer. My guess is on the way there, the tall man had the short man on his back, then the tall man got on the short mans back and they walked backwards away.

Just pointing out that I am very much alive. No worries. This is a toughie. I can't come up with anything original, so I'm going to say that on the way back, the tall man carried the short man and walked back through the shorter man's footprints (Which I construe as being different than walking BACKWARD through the prints). |

OK, idea. The tall man actually took long strides, he then walked backwards and filled in the empty places which made it look like he had short strides. The short man walked on his heels all the way there, then on the way back he stayed on his toes.

Teddylot: No. Announcer: Tut, tut. Looks like one of our wide array of mind trap questions has stumped you. Or has it? It looks like some of our more active members aren't answering. Anyway, I'll kill the question in a few days if nobody gives a correct answer or finds the right idea. Teddylot: No. |

One of the men took both men's shoes, walked there in the short man's shoes, then walked backwards in the tall man's shoes, which is why the strides were shorter and the weights were on different parts of the foot. |
