Edited because I'm an idiot sometimes.

More specifically, my logic led me to believe I was making three cuts to make three links, rather than two cuts to make three links. Still didn't have to use a paper or pencil, just slipped up my syntax.

Announcer: Are you sure you want to give up that paper and pencil? Because you still have the wrong number of cuts.

Teddylot: Maybe he is using them, and he's just lying to us.

Announcer: We'd probably, I dunno, tar and feather him or something.

Well, I assumed the chain was in a circle, like a necklace, which would require 3 cuts.

OOO
O O
OO

Cut 1:
OOO
O O --> OOOOOOO
OO

Cut 2:
O|OOOOOO --> O OOOOOO

Cut 3:
O OO|OOOO --> O OO OOOO

I assumed the chain was in a line, which would need two:

o|oo|oooo

like that. Seven rings, two cuts.

And what's more, if NSNick's answer is right, then that means my initial answer, three cuts leaving us with a link of one, a link of two, and a link of four, is right, but it's not because Teddylot said it was wrong.... Which makes me reeeeeeeally confused. >.<

And another thing: Jagori didn't even answer the last question..... did he?

If the chain is a straight line (both ends free)

One cut. Cut the third link of the chain and remove it from the rest, leaving a string of two, a string of four, and a single one to make any number up to seven.

[edit] and no, I didn't answer that question

Announcer: Okay, just to clarify things. The chain is in a line. Also, taking NSNick's diagram as a reference, I think I'm understanding where you guys are going wrong. You're forgetting one very important detail when cutting the rings.

Teddylot: >.> That's tricksy, that is.

Announcer: ... I know that. It's just you posted while I was posting, and I was about to edit it, but I had to fix the posting error and whatever.

Teddylot: Yeah, whatever.

Announcer: Anyway, sorry about that little "error," I talked to the tech crew and apparently they were just too used to adding points to the scores of Jagori and NSNick that they flubbed, I guess.

Teddylot: And it's entirely not our fault.

Announcer: Anyway, Jagori this time, for sure, gets the right answer.

Teddylot: For sure?

Announcer: For sure.

Teddylot: Anyway, I'm guessing that the logical error you guys made was that you forgot that when you make a cut, the one ring you cut can seperate from whatever is attached to it, not just one side.

Announcer: ... you said something smart.

Teddylot: Where?

Question 92:

If you divide thirty by half and add ten, what is the answer?

Teddylot: I'm surprised, NSNick. I thought you were cool ... have these four months stripped you of your coolness? Say it ain't so!!!

Announcer: Hmm, drama. ANSWER IT NOW!

Announcer: NSNick gets this one, but he'll have to bust his brain cells to get this next one.

Question 93:

Diamond Pavorotti, a famous classical guitarist, is one of two identical twin brothers. His brother Marcus, Diamond's manager, has a great mind of promotion, but can't play a note on any instrument. Following Diamond's performance, on the night of the 18th, the two brothers left the concert hall together. They were never seen alive again. Two days later, the news broke that Diamond Pavorotti was found in a field with a knife through his heart. Although Shadow had never seen Diamond or his brother, after a quick examination of the body, Shadow determined that the dead man was not Diamond Pavorotti. How could he know?

Teddylot: Don't take it personally, Grey. We were just so looking forward to some wrong answers. Oh well.

Announcer: WHY?!!?!?! Oh God, WHY?!

Question 94:

When the day after tomorrow is yesterday, today will be as far from Wednesday as today was from Wednesday when the day before yesterday was tomorrow. What is the day after this day?

Teddylot: Too many days.

Announcer: In the week?

Teddylot: NO! ... The year.

Blast!

Oh.. I see what I did. Maybe I should figure out the difference between "yesterday" and "today." In 3 days, it'll be as far from Wednesday as it was 3 days ago.. which means today is Wednesday. So the next day is Thursday.
