Joe's a supervisor, Clem's a dirtworker. Since Joe is accustomed to having his face clean, he constantly makes sure it's clean. Clem, however, has the mindset that he will get dirty again no matter how much he wipes his face, and therefore doesn't bother wiping his face while still at work. Instead, he will most likely wait until he gets home.

Is it possible that clem is of asian or african decent and the dirt doesn't show up on his skin? just a thought.

Racist...? It was just a possabilaty sheesh racist is prejudging a person based on skin color or race, i didn't do that. Maybe you should learn the meaning of a word first.... Some of the nicest people iv'e ever met have been of differant skin color than me. anyway another guess.

Did one have a wife and the other not? that might be the difference.

Dude, one i was messing with you. Two, you should learn the meaning of it. Three, your comment basically said "Black people and Asians skin look like dirt."

it's all in your interpretation of it, obviously Kario interpretted it as a racist comment, whether it was meant that way or not. anyway, I'm gonna have to agree with Grey, his seems like the best answer. it explains why one didn't have any dirt on his face, and it's a very reasonable answer.

Yes, I like Grey's answer better than my own, it's both logical and psychological. Still, I hope he's wrong - I want the point(s) for myself!

Oh yeah ziratha, I think Kario was just being funny, so I wouldn't get out-of-wack about it. The way you phrased your answer doesn't give the impression that you're racist - but I seriously doubt that being the real answer because it could then be construed that the riddle is racist.

yah yah, i just was just completly caught of guard, and though i can appreciate sarcasm as much as the next guy i cant hear a sarcastic tone of voice on a message board. Any wayys ... could one be a digger while another carts out the rocks??? if so ones face would be dirtier than the other.

Announcer: Hey, guys! This is one of the few times I'm going to be serious so you better get the sand out of your eyes. I don't want any kind of flame, fight, spam, or anything of the sort in this thread. It's a spiffed up thread and it's very popular so don't go ruining it for others with your "antics", or whatever, that may ruin the thread or just may get it closed. Don't be donkeys!!!

Teddylot: Hey, guys! I'm never serious so you don't have to be worried about being chewed out. However, there are plentiful wrong answers which I must burn (and one correct one which I won't burn.) Now, I shall list.

Reshaper256 -- I think I've already dealt with you.
DarkFenix -- No.
Kario -- Yep, Clem the Rag/Tool sure is good at walking home.
Reshaper256 -- Yeaaaaaa-- No.
Heian-794 -- So close, but so far.
Kario -- Well, your thinking is wrong ... once again.
Reshaper256 -- Wrong again.
ziratha -- Man, I thought you died or something. Well, your reputation precedes you, so your answer has been discarded.
Kario -- You know what ... You're an evil racist thought.
ziratha -- *discards answer*
Kario -- Blah blah blah. That's all I'm getting.
DarkFenix -- You're a very reasonable answer, DarkFenix. (Did you misspell that all on your own?)
Reshaper256 -- You're not getting any points today, boy!
ziratha -- *sigh* ... *discards answer*

Announcer: Oh oh, that leaves two contestants. Both have reasonable answers, but only one of them is the correct one.

Teddylot: Alrighty *opens letter* The contestant with the wrong answer is ... *breathe*

Question 90:

Sam Slug and a few of the boys were playing cards, when Sam posed a question. "In an ordinary deck of playing cards, two of the Jacks have two eyes and two of the Jacks have one eye. How many eyes are on the four cards?

Teddylot: And remember kids, only losers use outside resources to try and figure out these questions.

Announcer: Like a deck of cards.

Teddylot: Or calculators.

Each Jack is double headed, so we've got two twoeyes (that's four eyes each so it's eight right there) and two oneeyes (which is another four eyes).

Eight and four is 12. Is it 12 eyes?

Announcer: Woah dude, was that a four month hiatus or are we lazy?

Teddylot: But don't worry, we're too cool to leave this thread down for five months.

Announcer: Anyway, we're gonna hopefully be back for a bit longer.

Teddylot: But never count on us. We're just not accountable ... or something.

Announcer: Grey runs away with the correct answer on this one.

Teddylot: But man, Evil Peer's answer was so witty. That deserves props ... or half a point.

Announcer: Hmm, I hope the two screen leaders haven't deserted during my absence.

Question 91:

Farah Felline was out of town on business, and needed a room for a week. When she went to pay the clerk she realized her credit card was missing. Her bank said it would be one week before they could deliver a new card. Farah turned to the desk clerk and said, "I have a solid gold chain with seven links. Each link is worth well over $100. I'll give you the chain as collateral until my card is replaced. Just to be on the safe side, I'll give you one link each day for seven days." Farah realized that she could trade links back and forth and avoid a lot of unnecessary cuts to the chain. What is the fewest number of cuts she would have to make and how would she trade the links and forth?

Announcer: This is a very visual problem, so you guys might want to try using a paper and pencil or something.

Teddylot: Unless your cool like NSnick and Jagori, they use their brains the whole way and don't need puny visuals.

Announcer: Also, if there happens to be a repeat in questions, veterans, please notify this thread's author through PM, IM, or post. The hiatus has dulled my memory of which questions we've already done. Sorry.

You could make three TWO BECAUSE I'M AN IDJIT cuts: the end result would be a link of one ring, a link of two rings, and a link of four rings. On the first day, you'd give the one. Then, you'd trade that for the two. Then, you'd give the one, making three. Then the four ringer would be traded for the two ringer and the one ring, for the fourth day. Then, to make five rings, you'd give back the one ring and add it to the fourth. The sixth day, you'd trade the one ring for the two, adding two to four to make six. Finally, on the seventh day, you'd just give the one ring you had left over.

EDIT: And I didn't use a pencil or paper.

EDIT mkII: I just put three instead of two.... >.<

Announcer: You have the right reasoning there, Grey, but I'm afraid you have the wrong number answer. Maybe you should try using paper and a pencil.
