I have been playing it since I was 5-6 years old. So yes I am good on the game. But I hadn't done challanges on it, I have been thinking on trying defeating the whole game without losing a life. |

What do you consider "good" ? Like beating the game in less than 20 minutes using warp zones ? As for me, I played the game quite often, but didn't found out some things by myself, like the hidden part in mini-fortress #2 in world 4. The door is hidden as well "marked" when the P-switch was hit ... but only when I checked the SMB3 guide I was able to find it I can keep suits for a particularly long time, except when it comes to world 7. In the first mini-fortress you have to be racoon Mario to proceed ... or you simply use a cloud on the map to pass it |

When I get a new Mario platform game, I am automaticly good at it since I've played so many so many times. I beat SMA4 the day after I got it, without warping.

You used the @. for at. you really did. .. I've been playing SMB3 since it came out. I was like 2 or something. Obviously I was a tard, but I played for hours. I've beaten it countless times, and have secrets and things lodged in my brain from discoveries made long ago. Before the internet crap. Oh, the things you coulda learned from me. It's funny, after all this time I had never realized you could just hop on Bowser's head, as seen in that 11 minute completion movie. |

Define "good" and then I can answer your question more accurately... well... I'll just say things I can do on the game. -Beat the game via quickest way and least levels possible without dying... I have never timed myself -Beat the game completing every level possible. -Carry a hammer suit on me from world 6 to the end of the game, and beat Bowser super-quickly (meaning I can manage not to get hit in those last 3 worlds after getting a suit). -Go all the way to 6-3 without dying... I race through things though, so I could probably manage to go the whole game without dying if I took my time. That being said, I suck in comparison to Yoshi Dude! |

Yes, please define good for me. If by "Good" you mean beat the game in under 20 minutes, then no... If by "Good" you mean I can beat the game without losing one life...still no. If by "Good" you mean beat the first world without losing a life (on a good day), you would be about right. ...HEy! Whaddya want? I haven't played since I was in single digits. |

But still, you lost a life in the first world? I can beat it, and that's pretty much all I can say. I don't know if I'm "good" or not. I lose some lives, but I usually have lots of spares. |

Actually what I mean by good is: Being positive or desirable in nature; not bad or poor. or Superior to the average. or Serving a desirable purpose or end. But anyway, what is your skill level at the game? If you can beat if faster than somebody else or know more secrets than another person or can pull off hard moves like the infinite 1-up trick (where you keep jumping off of enemies like Dry Bones or Flying Koopas) then that is good. Conversely if you just die every time you play or can (edited by BookReader on 05-21-04 01:25 PM) |

I guess I'm pretty good at SMB3. I don't need the warp whistles to beat the game or any shortcuts. I beat it a couple times.

I can beat it in under 20 mins with warps. It is quite easy. I've done it many, many times. I own the game; submit, SMB3!

Back when I got regular NES practice, I could beat SMB3 without warping, and I didn't find that terribly difficult. It took me a while to get that skilled, though. Hell, I remember being proud of myself when I beat that evil auto-scrolling sky level in the 5th world without a P-wing. You have to jump around a platform weirdly, and if you don't get it right, SPLAT. That pissed me off the first few times...

Overall, I'm not too impressive with the game...I've beat it with the double-whistle trick like everyone else...but as for outright beating every level in the game, I think I've fallen short...and the last time I truly played the NES was back before I moved in '95. I think back then I could do all levels up until the middle of World 6 came in... ... ... World 7 and 8 are easier. |

I can beat the game in around 40 minutes using warp.. I'm not very good :X No one can match that guy who beat it in 3 minutes though, I bet. He was on crack. |
