Nope. I wish I could think of any kind of a hint that wouldn't make this rediculously obvious, but I can't. Until I can, just review the hints I've already given.

  • This area is right after a mountain, and right before a town(kingdom). The pictured area is not a really eventful one.
  • Relatively recent game (much more recent than Link to the Past!)
  • Turn-based RPG
  • Mentioned somewhat frequently on these boards.

    One more wrong answer, and I'm lowering the value to one point and giving an obvious hint.

    It's Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga obviously, but it wasn't fair. And don't give me the point, because I didn't wait an hour. But when you distort shapes and colors, and you take out the sprites, how the hell were we supposed to know what it was? Now I kinda recognize swirls, but seriously now, you fucked up the pic! That wasn't fair!

    To be fair, I warned about questions like this at the beginning of the contest.

    But your criticism is noted, and the next time I distort, I'll start with a screenshot of something noteworthy and recognizable, instead of just an empty, nondescript field with any distinguishing characteristics removed in the distortion process...

    And, as Kefka said, while he was right, he gets no points since he disregarded the one hour rule.

    13. Ignore the watermark on the top. I was too lazy to take my own screenshot, or to crop out the mark from this one. Either way, "Gamer's Hell" has nothing to do with the game, so it doesn't matter. This shot is without interface, just graphics, so I made it a two-pointer. This game doesn't really have or need much of a menu-type setup, anyhow.
