| It's that time of year again - the 10th annual Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 for short, is upon us. In a few hours, Microsoft will hold their official pre-E3 press conference and the news will start to fly.  Tomorrow afternoon (morning Pacific time), Sony and Nintendo will have their press briefings, and at 3 AM Eastern/midnight Pacific, any "embargos" on top-secret information will be lifted.Feel free to use this thread to report ANY news that comes out of E3, or to talk about announcements that were made. A few quick looks at some publishers... Microsoft - They don't have a new portable to announce (at least nobody thinks so...), but you can be assured that MS will be focusing on some XBox exclusive games (like Halo 2, Doom 3, etc.) and on XBox Live as well. They could announce something regarding their new system but that's doubtful. On the "surprise" front, rumors range from XBox Live support for all EA Sports titles to the acquisition of Bioware. Sony - Again, Sony could announce something about the PS3 but they're certainly not in any rush to do so. They have to focus on the PSP, and hopefully they have the specs all but finalized by now. Their game lineup looks to be solid as usual, and there's something for everyone in it so that's not a major concern. Sony likely doesn't have a "major" surprise up their sleeves, but they could be announcing a PS2 price cut as early as tomorrow's press conference. Nintendo - Nintendo's in an interesting position going into E3. The Nintendo DS will be heavily pushed, and there's a lot of intrigue about this system because nobody knows exactly for sure how the dual-screened portable works. Both the GameCube and GBA should have some top-notch titles announced, but some also expect a surprise announcement - considering how last year's was Pac-Man for the GameCube, one would think that Nintendo may want to have something a little more stunning on the table this time. Rumors range from the first public showing of Mario 128 to an official online strategy. Sega - The only reason I'm listing them here is because Sega announced something "MAJOR" would happen at E3 this year. That news might already be leaked since they're going to be publishing The Matrix Online now. Not exactly a "MAJOR" announcement, but one never knows... If there's still one to make, I'd personally doubt it's a new system unless they want to tackle the portable market as well. Infinium Labs - Oh my god, the Phantom's finally going to be at E3! They officially announced a November 18th release date for the "game receiver", and this will finally be when the company puts up or shuts up. My guess is that they'll finally prove the skeptics wrong, but only time will tell if they have a large enough game lineup to make an impact. BTW, the system itself will be powered by an Athlon 2500 XP processor. |

| Microsoft finished up their press conference a little while ago. Points of interest: - EA and Microsoft officially entered into a deal that will see most EA Sports games (still iffy on NHL 2005 actually, there was no confirmation on that one) and some regular EA games be playable on Xbox Live. This *is* big news. - Halo 2's release date has been set for November 9. My guess is that it slips back a week. But seriously, I can't see Microsoft slip on it again.- The only other news tidbit coming out is the announcement of Forza Motorsport, which is apparently Microsoft's attempt to trump Sony's Gran Turismo series. I think they also showed off Doom III of course. Not sure. |

| But I mostly did download Nintendo stuff, then I did actually download movies for some PC games. Yes there is another Zelda coming out, the sequel to Wind waker. And no it isn't Four swords. Now, I do hope that Nintendo DS is... good. |

| Some leaks from Nintendo's booth... including Mario Party Advance (GBA), Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (GBA) and Advance Wars: Under Fire (GC). Pictures of the "instruction sheets" were leaked tonight. Still no DS leaks, so you know that Nintendo isn't setting up the WHOLE booth just yet. Minish Cap is being developed by Flagship/Capcom (Oracle of Ages/Seasons), there was a rumor about this the other week. |

| For some reason, all I get is the GameFAQs banner when visiting the message boards. This has, by the way, gone on ever since they were upgraded. So I'm basically shut out of them.  There'll likely be screenshots tomorrow, either after Nintendo's press conference or at midnight Pacific. |

| I got that one from Gamefaqs, that was everything I could find on Gamefaqs. Or on the net for that matter, I searched for Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap on Google. BTW which browser are you using? | Now I wonder, if they have made any improvments on Starfox 2. First time I saw screens from that game there were only Fox mcloud as playable charachter. Later I saw the game with the other charachters but it still looked basic. And Krystal is in it. ^___^ Jungle beat, looks very intresting. But I hope it works practically. Nothing leaked from Nintendo about Nintendo DS. No screens or anything. I god hope there won't be any big design flaws.  Fusing Kinstones, I wonder what they will be used for. |
