I was thinking of making this thread.

Well I'm probably one that can greatly help too, beating almost all FF's.

I've gotten help from TJ about this, but any other input would be great.

For Emerald Weapon make sure you have the underwater thing that allows you to further breath underwater infinently. Also, Gravity causes 9,999 damage to Emerald. So if you have Quadra Magic attach that and Gravity together to attack him with 9,999 4x. If you have KOTR, this should be pie. Try having X-Summon with your best magic user, and preferebly Absorb MP attached with KOTR to basically never run out of MP. If you do not have KOTR, like I didn't ...

Make sure your party is well in there 90's, with incredible stats and basically the best Materia combinations you can think of. I put Hyper on Cloud giving him furry, which if you know makes his Limit Bar shoot up a hella lot faster than normal, Omnislash is your savior if you don't have KOTR. Also if you have 4x Attack equip that on your strongest attacker, I had two. Don't be afraid to use Mega Elixiers, use them all the time. Same with Elixiers, douptful you'll need them for Sephiroth. Good equipment to have is your 3 characters best weapon and armor. I also has 3 Champion Ship belts for each. (I used Cloud, Red XIII, and Barret for this battle by the way.)

Ruby Weapon for me was a luck of the draw battle with his annoying status effect bombardents. I beat him with Cloud alone, having incredible defense, attack, basically unlimited Elixier's / X-Potions, and of couse KOTR with MP Absorb and X-Summon.

I only remember that fight with Emerald weapon well because, well it's one of the most incredible challenges in a FF game "if" Beating Emerald WITHOUT KOTR, which I didn't even have... Beating him is essential though, you'll get the Master Summon Materia, and a Gold Chocobo.

Omega weapon if I'm correct is the one at the final castle in FF8? If so, I remember constantly using the Invincible items, and constantly either keeping Squall's HP low for his Limit Attack Trick, or casting Aura on him at all times for Rag whatever.

Ozma, Can't remember on that one. But hopefully the other strategies may help.

You only get the Gold Chocobo after defeating Ruby Weapon. Getting the desert rose as a prize.

For Ruby Weapon,

Equip a character with final attack+Phoenix, then kill the other two characters who dont have this materia combination before the battle. This will make it so he wont use Whirlsand at the beginning, and after killing the character with FA+P, your entire party will be revived, putting you at full force. Equip a ribbon on all characters. Keep one character just for healing, equipped with W-item and max out your speed with speed +. Dont try so sneak a few attacks with this healer, concentrate on keeping your group healthy, and only that. Another fighter should have two mastered magic+ materia, KOTR and W-Summon. Its better to use the Master Summon materia to unlimit KOTR usage. Magic counter + Any strong spell would be great, or master magic for a surprise. Try to enable all your characters(even the healer), with counter attacks or all kinda for extra damage. Stay on your toes for this battle, he isnt a push over. You can go fight some monsters in the sunken plan and morph them in sources, to boost up your stats. Or fight the big tank in Gongaga and those scaly things near Mideel.

For Ruby Weapon,

You sure? I mean I remember this by heart, I never mated any Chocobo's, instead I beat Emerald Weapon for a Gold Chocobo ... I just remember, beating Emerald Weapon without KOTR, but after beating him I know for a fact I had KOTR and used it agains't Ruby, and also of course had a gold Chocobo in defeating Emerald...

For defeating Emerald weapon, you get the earth harp. For a trade in with the Kalm traveller, you receive Master Magic, Master Command and Master Summon materia. After defeating Ruby weapon, you aquire the desert rose and could trade it for the Gold Chocobo. I am positive of this, feel free to look on any FAQ if you dont believe me.

No need to.

Sorry for my mistake, it has been about 2 years since I've gone through FF7, but I've started a new game recently. (Still has taken me over 5 hours to get out of Midgar.)

But now I do remember the Red Rose was the trade off for the Gold Chocobo, which you got from defeating Ruby, and I do now remember I used "Master Summon", and used that to Summon KOTR even though I still never had them.

Quite simply though, I will still never forget that battle with Emerald and not having KOTR.

I've just started again on FF7 myself too... So It'll be a while until I finally get to fight them...

As for Omega weapon... Just beat him 10 minutes ago... I got 2 phoenixes in one battle! OMG! I normally don't get any at all... ANd up-side, is I didn't use any invincible items... I just got lvl100 quistis to use suicide... Then Irvine and Squall to keep aura-ing each other, and limiting the hell out of him... Took about 20 minutes, but it worked .

Still need help on beating ozma though... It's pretty hard :-/.

I attempted to beat Zolom in FFVII but I got a little tired after leveling up for over 2 hours and still wasn't able to beat him. I'll probably go back and kill him while learning Beta.

If you learn beta at that point in the game, then you're set for a while. That spell kills almost everything instantlsave bosses) until you get near Gongaga. It does cost quite a bit of MP, but if rationed properly, then a big part of disc one is no problem.

If you do manage to get this spell early on, head to Junon. There is an area were a squad of soldiers are doing drill. There a chronique whistle going off in that room so you cant miss it. Near the squad theres a switch on the wall, if you press is, an alarm will go off. Keep running around in that room, ennemies from disc2 will appear. Beta will help alot in this area. I got to level 50 doing this this, with all characters and managed to get all the limites. Its a neat little place, but dont go if you are weak.

I won't forget that one. I'm a strong leveling up person myself, and remember my first time through the first disc of FFVII I was around levels 60 or something. But that time I didn't know exactly what Fury did until close to the end of the game. This time I almost have Cloud's level 3 limit break and some other characters level 2. But that sounds like quite a trick to leveling up.

Right now I'm at Fort Condor. Never really liked the place, but I must go through it nonetheless...

I love the battles at Fort Condor.

First time around, if you win you can get the Magic comg, first double AP weapon in the game. Wich is great because soon enough, you will have so much materia you wont know what to do with it.

My High level quest(wich was the one at junon L50). I did everything early. I got to level 30 with Cloud, Barret and Tifa in the vents during th assult on the second Mako Reactor. During the First Reactor, Barret and Cloud were at level 15 and both Ice & Lightning were up a level. I left midgar at level 40. To jump a couple stages, after I was done the Gold saucer scenes, I level up just outside Gongaga, mastered all available materia, brought up to level 80. By the time I got to the temple of the ancients, I was at L99.

1 400 000 gil per Mastered All.

Its gets me thinking sometimes. Go to a poor town like North Corel and you can seel as many Mastered All materia you want, and get millions of Gil. Then they complain they're poor.

Ok for once I actually have a question now.

In anyones opinion, what would be the best 3 characters to have and use basically throughout most of FFVII? A team that can be the most deadly. First time I went through FFVII I used nobody but Cloud (duh) Barret, and Red XIII. Red XIII hell he's an awesome character, but his final limit break is crap only attacking once. Now still at the Junon and Fort Condor part of the first Disc, I'm using Tifa and Barret. I know Cid would probably be an excellent choice of a character to use, his 4th limit break hitting 1/5 more than Omnislash, not as powerful, but still awesome. Vincent I never really used a lot my first time through, and I plan on using him a lot more, being a cool character. I don't really care how good Cait Sith and Yuffie could be, I really don't like them. But, that doesn't matter.

I'm asking, what 3 character would be the best combination to use in FFVII?

Cloud, by default.

Tifa. You cant get the most out of FF7 with her in your party. Tifa and Cloud obviously have alot going on, so in events like the Northern creater and the Temple of the Ancients, the game could get much more emotional and intense.

Cid. His Scimitar weapon has triple growth, wich makes mastering materia much easier and can make progress thruw the game much easier.

Though... Still looking for help on defeating Ozma... Does anybody know how to defeat it? :-/
