Uh, the worst punishment for the virus programmer, assumed the article is no hoax, would be locking the guilty person into a nice cell, thus placing a brand new computer on the other side of the iron bars and make all people granting access to it but him

Actually I think these kind of viruses are quite good once in a while. When hospitals, banks and such gets knocked out by this kind of virus, something is bloody wrong. Let's say some country declared war against yours, and they had a buch of hackers, poff, the infrastructure is dead in a couple of hours. Banks and such is in desperate need of better security, better os etc.

Maybe I had it installed without knowing it then . You see I have auto-download on. It downloads it whenever there is a patch and prompt me to install it. I do have memories that there was a update for awhile ago, and it was probably that patch. (edited by Kitten Yiffer on 05-10-04 12:58 PM) |

It is somewhat good when a relatively harmless virus gets in these holes. Better they find it that way and fix it before a more malicious one wipes the system or allows some sort of remote control. (This stuff gets pretty deep into government systems even. ) Have they actually stopped the virus, or is it still going? |

Trapster, I just got it from Windows update for a month ago. I don't need it thank you. Your running it in IE right Hyperhacker? It's dosen't work so well in other browsers due to it's nature. You could try to turn off Firewalls, but I think your already tried that... |

Downloaded the update when I heard of the virus. Punishment? I say that he should be straped to a chair, eyes kept open, an be forced to watch kiddie shows such as Barney, and then be beaten up, followed by public hummiliation, and finished with that they slice off his manhood. Viruses are EVIAL. My computer's hard drive crashed because of viruses. |
