After establishing himself on a course to possibly be the best player of all time, he was traded to the Cincinatti Reds. From there, he's been plagued by injuries, and hasn't had a full season since. This year, he's off to a good start, with his first multi-HR game in a full year. There are rumors that he might be headed to Seattle again, but is that the best fit for him? Has he returned? Or is he just going to hurt himself again. |

he seems to be going better now...maybe this year will be his year for the first time in a long time. Had it not been for injuries, I think he would have been the fastest to 500 I believe and might even had 600 Homers by now... I guess if he makes the all-star game, then i guess that will be something. |

I think he'd be even, if not better than Bonds is now. He was averaging 52 HRs a season... |

i agree with you 100%. That makes me wonder--If Griffey had been healthy all this time, I wonder how badly would he obliterate the most homerun mark?

I think on Sports Center, they said when he was 39 he would pass Babe Ruth, I think. |

I thought they said he'd be over eight hundred if he stayed healthy and at his current pace through 39. Those past few years have boosted the pace he'd need to be on to break the record by ten homers a year... Anyway, it's great to see him finally resembling healthy... and productive. He's already got what, six homers? I don't see him going back to Seattle, but if he can stay healthy in Cincy, they're going to whup ass. |

Especially with Dunn shortening that swing of his, and now hitting for average.

And if he's on a roll there...why bother moving him to Seattle, where he needs to get readjusted to everything, pitching, outfields, etc.

See, now I want to see him leave Cincinnati because they're one of the Cubs' biggst NL Central rivals this year. Whatever helps the Cubs win more often is what I want to see. Always respected Griff as a player though -- just don't want him hurting The Cause. |
