Stupid Swedes voting for Norway. Just because they always give us the 12-pointers Ukraine and Greeze were like the worst songs, and they got first and third place. omgwtf |

Having "nul points" is actually better than having just some points at all as your notoriety grows, look at Jemini, they had Nul points last year and they're still making a career out of it now. Oh and Ukrane didn't mime, I'm pretty good at spotting that Colleen - Terry was on form! He hated the voting though and seemed thoroughly fed up with it though! His comments regarding the hosts were funny though.... "So, here's Cruella de Ville and the Prince of Darkness again". I liked the Ukrane entry it was very catchy Oh and SPain's entry had the best Lyrics EVER It's been translated and may have lost a certain something in Translation, but I've bolded the best parts Oh and for someone who's never seen the show before, these lyrics should twll you all you need to know about the quality on offer.... To be filled of you There she was crying Crying in her sorrow Knowing you (edited by Uncle Elmo on 05-16-04 09:13 AM) |

Exactly, having "nul points" is better. Especially if you're Norway, since we're the country in the world with the most "nul points" ever! < |

Wow, one of the few times I've seen someone who doesn't know much about the Ukraine spell Kiev properly... I would like it if they held it in the smaller cities in the south, possibly one of the Mediterranean resort towns. I have many friends that have gone to Kiev...They say that the police are corrupt as hell, and that there is crime and poverty everywhere. Anyways, it is nice that Ukraine won, that song was pretty damned good. |

Elmo: See, why can't we get the BBC feed of Eurovision? I mean, we do have BBC Canada... So if we ever get BBC2 Canada it's certainly possible to kill a few hours with that. I thought you could say Kiev or Kyiv. |

AHAHAHAHAHAHAH. It seems whenever a song entry from the Flemmish part of the country is send in, it fails horribly. I personally hated it, so I'm not feeling too bad about it XD But Sweden ending that high with a song equally commercialised is a bit odd. I missed watching it again this year, but there must've been nothing too impressive amongst the entries, I would've heared it already else <<; |

Yeah, but I'm guessing many countries do English songs to try appeal to more people who "understand" the lyrics, right? Then again, some songs... *remembers Austria last year* |

Is it just me, or is there a LOT more English songs this year? Is this toappeal to an International Audience? Oh and no one's mentioned the fact that the UK got a bye to the finals after last year's travesty, do you think that should have been allowed, because I don't. |

Elmo - You're one of the four largest countries in Eurovision. Therefore, you're guaranteed a spot. Nil points or not. |

THey actually admitted that, yes, but was it fair? I think Countries should have to WORK for their place... Also, is there any way we can stop this politically motivated voting? It's beyond a joke... |

I don't remember who said it, but he said something along the lines of "songs not in English won't ever win. What was the last non-English song to win? Diva, by Dana International? Well, listen to the chorus, that's not Hebrew, that's English! Then what? Nocturne? Hah, Nocturne had no words! So you'll have to go back to F |
