When I visualise this place in my head, I sort of imagine this long forgotten desert island, and so the idea for this thread popped into my head. If you were trapped on a desert island, there just happens to be electricity from somewhere (I'm not sure how, a hydroelectric plant or something, a DVD player, a console of your choice and a CD player, which of the following would you take to the island to live there for eternity, remember you could take only ONE of each, no more.... Game? Grand Theft Auto VIce City, basically because you can make your own games up and it would take me AGES to get bored of it, hell I've been known to just sit in a car for a couple of hours to listen to the radio! Film/DVD :- A toughie, It would HAVE to be LOTR: Return of the King, Extended edition, although it's not out yet, ROTK is my fave film of the trilogy so to have the extra long version would be a dream come true. ALbum :- Clubland 3. 3 Hours of Trance to get my blood pumping. It's not my fave album of all time but it's long enough to loccupy myself for a while. Book - Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix. My second fave in the series and you could pace yourself by reading a page a day |

Game? Very difficult choice.... Probably Betrayal at Krondor... an oldie, but I haven't yet gotten tired of it Film/DVD? Well... if my wife was with me, I'd let her pick... if not ( ), I'd have to do some *cough* browsing. Album? Probably "Cover to Cover" by Paul Hardcastle. Book? Some book of Dilbert comics... otherwise I'd have to bring the entire bookshelf, lol (too many books I like, lol). |

Game: GTA, I've never actually played it, but I wanna. Lots of replay value. If it has to be one I have, Diddy Kong Racing for the same reason. Movie: I don't really watch movies, and when I do, I rarely watch them more than once. Album: A CD-RW full of various MP3s. Book: A Far Side comic book. (edited by HyperHacker on 05-07-04 06:20 PM) |

The internet, so I could post on Acmlm's Board and say "HELP I'M STUCK ON A DESER TISLAND" (and then someone would close the thread with "No one cares" or something...) And more on topic.. Game: Phantasy Star 2.. I need to do some leveling up in that game DVD: Eh, I'll go with Cymoro and Neko and say Porn Book: Something very long... In case I end up bored with Phantasy Star Album: Well, can the CD player be a boombox? Then something LOUD and ANNOYING, so any nearby ships hear me |

Game : For replay value, I would never get bored of Kirby's Adventure (or Nightmare in Dreamland) or Super Mario Bros. 3 Film/DVD : I will have to go with Airplane or Monty Python's Life of Brian. Those two movies never fail to make me chuckle. ALbum : Any Metallica album from the 80's Book : The Communist Manifesto.. I could sit there thinking about Marxism whenever I got bored. |

Game: Ooh, toughie. And it has to be a console game? It'd have to be something very open-ended like GTA or Morrowind. Unless I had a broadband connection out of nowhere, then I'd pick an online game on XBox. DVD: Can I bring a whole trilogy? Cause if so, Star Wars (after September 21st, that is). If not, I guess I'd just take Empire. Album: Hmm, Led Zeppelin IV or Dark Side of the Moon. Book: Getting Off Desert Islands for Dummies |

Game: Morrowind, or FFXI if I had a connection (any game I can play for two weeks and still get virtually nowhere on is good in my books... ) Movie: *shrug* Music: F-Zero X Guitar Arrange. I win. Book: Probably my old physics text... there was a lot of interesting stuff later on I never did get to look at... and I could always use some brushing up on the math. One might assume I haven't read much good fiction lately... And it's big enough to power a weeklong signal fire. (edited by Utilityman on 05-27-04 04:25 PM) |
