My random image is sometimes an unwanted red x. I am not as gifted as others, and can't fix it myself. Anyone wanna lend a hand? |

Toxic: The brainless question; made sure the random picture is actually here? All random ones? Checked case-sensitive? paradox: not much change, still really simple and '98 when it comes to look. And I see no idea why you need a scrollbar nor two borders, ofcourse, without that it'll just look like the other one you had. But that one was better in that aspect. Btw, the scrollbar doesn't work because you coded it wrong. |

Originally posted by Jizuko OK, I got it now. I put the file for randominity in the directory of the pics, and that was what the x's were. Hey...it was 11 and I was tired. |

I'd like to make a post background of this picture: I just don't want it tiled. How can I stretch the Image to fit the window? How do you make text go in just one specific spot and not leave that area? How do I change my default font and color? Thanks for any help. (edited by Clockworkz on 04-09-04 06:51 PM) |

1) You can't with plain old HTML. I think you can with CSS, though. 2) Use more cells. Imagine having three cells, and the text being in the central cell. If you specify the width of the outer two, then the central cell won't stretch and you can contain text. All HTML layouts work like this. 3) < Make sure that the font is standard for windows, or it'll just display as arial for computers that don't have the font you are using. |

I finally made a layout that I like, but for the life of me, I can't seem to change the link colors. I don't remember seeing anything on them, I've tried link="color" but it still appears orange. I would like a nice shade of blue or something. (edited by Chickenlump on 04-11-04 03:02 AM) |

Not trying to be picky. It's just the generally accepted unofficial rule that if your post layout doesn't fit in 800x600, it's probably bigger than it should be. If it doesn't fit in 1024x768, it's definitely too big. | |||

Somewhat better since it's less filled with images, but you didn't shrink the height much if at all ... that's the part that doesn't fit in 800x600 It's not as bad as when the width doesn't fit, but scrolling through large images just to read one post isn't the funnest thing ever ... |
