| It's ok for colours, but using a wallpaper in your layout is a bit incosiderate. Downloading a wallpaper every time a thread loads is something that most dialup users will object to. My advice is cropping the wallpaper and reducing the quality of the image. When you're ready for your next layout, start to use more tables and try to use repeating and smaller images  |

| Paradox: You are still using a wallpaper, albeit smaller, it's still a wallpaper. And smacking a wallpaper onto a transperant box is not applicable, it's even hard to read the text, frankly, you can't. You have coded it wrong too, so ironically the background doesn't even show up, but first and foremost, find a new background. Then, put quotation marks around the style attribute. I am going to delete that bg in your profile now since it's just too big. Another advice would to actually do a real layout instead of taking a wallpaper found somewhere and smacking that into the layout. Edit: Another thing, top, bottom, that's vertical, so naturally you should have valign=top. And it should be in the parent tag, which is the td tag. Edit again: I see that it's infact a coding error on the board when putting a background in the backgroundbox. And that the reason the background doesn't show up is because YOU ARE LEECHING BANDWIDTH, put up the picture on a freehost somewhere under your account.
