Yeah, I wouldn't have even noticed there was meant to be one. An odd font colour, but it works.

I was wondering, could anyone make me a post layout? I was thinking of something like my post being displayed in the Notepad program, with the post number being in the file name. Is that possible? Also, I'd like it to be in the Windows XP Silver theme.

If no one ignores this post like I've had done to me before, then I'd like a layout. I have the images and the general idea of what I want, I just dont know how to code it. |

Nobody can help with the CSS? Originally posted by KsoftFusion That shouldn't be too difficult except for having the post count as the filename. You'd need some kind of image generator. A Notepad layout has been done quite a few times, though. (Tip: You can use this to rename windows and take screenshots. ) (edited by HyperHacker on 04-10-05 11:06 AM) |

Maybe I'll think of something different. I've no experience with any of this.

I need some help with tables. I have a very simple layout in mind, but the problem is, I can't seem to find a way to close the table... and of course, nobody wants a layout that warps the entire layout of whatever topic I post in >.< So then, what's the best way to make it close up all the tags? And, is there any way to use CSS without having it affect stuff outside your post? Just wondering... almost afraid to touch it again after one table thing I made almost warped a topic. (Of course, I quickly deleted the layout, and made sure not to post while using the weird table attacking layout, thus, one cannot see it now, nor does it affect any topics as of now) Edit: I got around the problem with the tables, but my background (should be blue) doesn't seem to be showing up for me... nor do the tables! >.< (edited by MetalMan88 on 04-22-05 11:50 AM) |

Just so you know, the right hand side of those borders isn't showing correctly in Firefox 1.0.3 in Mac OS X Panther.

Must be your Mac. It shows up for me. As I said in the other thread either the text color or the red ripple color should be changed. Edit: Other then that it looks great. (edited by Randy53215 on 05-11-05 04:41 PM) |

Looks perfect in the profile for me (I have layouts disabled in posts so I won't bother checking there), with Firefox 1.0.2 for Windows ... Just switch the 2 red backgrounds maybe (using the less contrasted one for text), then it's good |

Take away the lower box with all the crap in it, and add a little margining so we can see the background. Then you'd have a great layout.

I'm using a Mac with Firefox, and it's working out just fine for me. I want to request a layout.. not for posting, but for a profile. Just something simple so I can add a lot of crap about me and whatever. I want it to be themed with Kirby's Adventure (NES game). The big problem isn't so much with the coding, since I don't have any huge plans, but I just don't have an idea of what to do. I know I want Kirby, but I lack creativity beyond that. More than anything I'd like an idea, I'd really appreciate it. |

Originally posted by Graviteh The only way I know of to do that is to select "None" in the Signature Seperator part of your Edit Profile page. Of course, if you do that, it'll not only remove them in your layout, but everyone's All other registered users that view your layout and don't have that option selected will see the lines still Maybe someone else knows of a way to remove them from your signature only Now, I have a layout related question of my own. I'm getting tired of the one I have currently, so I worked yesterday to make up a new one, but I've run into a couple problems First off, here's a preview of what I want it to look like (complimentary gibberish text included). That screenshot was taken in 800x600 resolution (the lowest possible on my computer), so it should work for people that don't use 1280x1024 like I do. The Copy X picture on the right is currently located here, but will be moved to my ImageShack account if I can get this layout working. I figure if I make the picture right-aligned, then I won't have any problems, but I think it looks nifty in it's own seperate box However, if it's not possible to keep it that way, then it can all be contained in one box. The background is a solid color (RGB:66, 99, 99), and it doesn't matter what shade of green the dotted border is, as long as it stands out on top of the background. The last problem I have is that right now, it's a mixture of CSS and HTML. I currently lack the knowledge to convert it to 100% CSS (and FrontPage likes adding stuff that seems unnecessary, but really is needed), so if anyone would go to the trouble of doing that, I'd be indebted to you Comments / constructive criticism are welcome as well. I realize the picture is dithered, but if I use the .png format of it, the background appears white in Internet Explorer, but not Firefox (I only have those browsers on my computer, so I can't test it on others). It's also pretty large, so if it's absolutely necessary, I can make it smaller. Thanks for any help / comments you give. Edit: Since it seems this thread hasn't gone anywhere since I left volunteering on Thursday, I have another thing I'd like to add, that'd likely be pretty easy to do. I realized another box would be needed at the bottom of the layout, for my signature. The width would be 100% of my post area, obviously (edited by Karadur on 05-24-05 05:06 AM) |
