Well, this silly US state that I live in is sure being quite crazy this month. I woke up this morning, ready to take some Advanced Placement Test in Computer Science, when I hear on the news. "Some 300-400 pound female lion is on the loose in the district of Gahanna..." You don't believe me!?! *Goes to find an article somewhere on the internet* Here we go... http://www.nbc4.tv/news/3266352/detail.html Still, I'm just wondering how an african lion is adapting to the near freezing weather here... I hope that the police aren't going to try anything drastic like killing it, as I haven't heard that the lion killed anybody. Did any of you guys had something like this happen to you, and if it does, is it common? |

Originally posted by Toxic Well, one unfortunate thing that I heard was that the lion just kind of came out of nowhere. They said that all the illegally owned lions out there are accounted for. Of course, I'm surprised that the media didn't go blurting "Oh, it might be a TERRORIST ATTACK!" |

That have happened in Sweden once. Later the police just said it was a large cat that was seen. Intresting, loose animals. They wouldn't survive for long time if it was in the winter. |

It's not that cold here. Well, I guess it gets chilly at night. Funny, I haven't heard about the lion sightings. | |||

400 pounds... SOUNDS like there's enough insulation on it. It won't die. It could probably survive a few nights, and by that time it'll be tracked down anyways. Or kill someone, either one. |

As far as I know, there hasn't been any lions on the loose in Norway, but there was once a kangaroo that was on the run (wasn't it? ), and for quite some time too, I think. Hmm.. I think that there was also something about a Llama being on the run once, or something. |
