Just say no.

This is the greatest image I've seen in a while, taken from the almighty site that is WPTS.

Mystery Meat Navigation... ah. They had Nevada's state site down under that.

Many say that the best way to design a page, is with the help of notepad.

Nice that a site that uses alot of flash have "Untitle document" as title. Honestly adding a title was one of the first thing I did learn when I where learning html once. ~_~
<title>This is an title</title>

Boy I love this site, and every site designer should get into it to correct their mistakes...

First rule of making a website: Don't do anything that requires browser plugins.

Second rule of making a website: Don't bog the thing down with lots of ginormous images. Dialup exists, you know.

Third rule of making a website: Learn HTML, you moron. It's not that hard.

Holy shit...

Best. Website. Design. Advice. Ever.

MMN is far too common on sooo many websites. "It looks clean!" SO FUCKING WHAT? I hate how some programs even have MMN now. I don't want a red dot with a mouseover, tell me what the fuck it does so I dont have to waste my time.

I have passed up so many websites on poor design. I might've bought something from some eBay auctioners, too, but their designs were so horrible I said "No, if they're dumb enough to do this, I don't want their product."

Just say no to MMN!

To put it bluntly, the web is "Wham. Bam. Thank you Ma'am." People don't need to be enticed or put in the mood when they visit your site. They're there for a particular reason and the sooner you give them what they came looking for, the better. They don't need Splash pages, Flash pages, Mystery Meat Navigation, or whatever silliness you think will put them "in the mood." They want what they want NOW. "Give me your information. Sell me your product. Thank you, ma'am."

Damn straight.

IF you're going to use a visual editor, use Dreamweaver. At least then there's less extra crap in the source code than with Frontpage.

Look at my site. It's over there <-----

See that? That's how you make a page with NO IMAGES. No visual editor was used either, unless you count IE for just showing me what I did in HTML.

Cymoro, your site is Lynx friendly. Download Lynx and surf with it on your site.

Lynx is an text browser. It's usually run on terminals but there is DOS/Windows versions to.

I have a site that I made in HTML, but no one here would want to see it. I'm still learning HTML, though I took a class at Ogeechee Tech with my dad on Dreamweaver.
