Is there such a thing as a console controller, like a playstation controller, that can be plugged into a computer in a USB slot or something? If so, what emulators support it, and where can you buy it? Thanks.

From what I have heard, the closest thing to these are joysticks, which can be found everywhere... not sure about console-specific ones though.

[sighs] Yes there are actually...there are converters out there that can pretty much wire any console-specific controller to any other console including ones for the computer via USB (for most cases). I've actually used a PS2 controller on a Gamecube before...but I do know that there are converters out for a computer or any other console in question.

You could probably check here for the PS controller to the USB. It's only about 12 bucks. This site also details on other controllers as well.

I've seen them at my local (if you call 62 miles away local) Best Buy. I've seen SNES and Playstation ones. They're about $25-45.

I have an Adaptoid, which alows you to use an N64 controller on the PC via USB. You just have ot plug it and and wham there you go. I think you have to install drivers though if you are using the outdated Wndows 98.

Its a bit of money for such a small device, but for me it paid off. The N64 controller is the best for emulation in my opinion since you still have the L/R button, and the main 6 buttons on the right side of the pad can be used great for the ABCXYZ buttons on the sega games.
