I'm not sure if you know or not, but I'll tell you anyway. Whenever someone says "Thread over" on a forum, they don't LITERALLY mean it.

Plus the fact that I'm strongly against these threads. Cthulhu, no matter how hard you try, there's going to be fighting, and you saying "stop stop stop" won't stop them.

I know. I try, but it never works. At least it hasn't gotten down to actual flaming yet.

See: Legion vs. hhallahh

It might not TECHNICALLY be flaming, but it might as well be.

True, true. As long as they can at least contribute a little with their flaming, I guess it's ok. But at least we have well-behaved members like Kefka and Cymoro.

We weren't flaming you tard (see, that's flaming, we were getting heated in the moment of arguement. There's a difference.

I'm not saying it's flaming because you ere actually contributing something in the process of insulting each other. Calling me a tard, however, is flaming, as it adds nothing to our discussion here.

Who are you to say something like that?

Whenever it comes to a discussion, you're two sided.

Person A inserts there arguement and you're like:

"Yeah, you raise a good point and I agree with you."

Then, when it's Person B's turn, you're all:

"That's a good point too and now I agree with you."

And it keeps going like that in an infinite loop.

Hmmm. Perhaps it's because I clearly stated in my first post that I wasn't going to voice my opinion yet. Thus, I look for good points and take note of them. And unlike some people, who feel a need to just bicker back and forth with each other over their opinions, I can just let it go if soemone believes something different than me. Give it a try Legion and Hhallahh, maybe you'll see that it just ain't worth fighting over.

You're pretty much asking for people to debate....without debating.

Well, I just want to learn, believe it or not. I take a side, and now I've learned a little bit about behemoth. And radiocarbon dating (I decided to look that up too.) That's all I'm looking for. People who call me close-minded / bickering just haven't picked up on my style yet.

By all means, debate, but try and do it nicely. I know, I'm asking for a lot, but you guys can at least debate something without insulting each other.

Legion, after reading your posts on the previous page... No major offense, but you're being very one-track-minded about this whole thing. First, you say it MUST be a dinosaur simply because of the tail. Then comes along the point about it hiding in long grass (or whatever), and you say it's a BABY dinosaur!! How convenient. You have to realise that it is quite a difficult point to refute. Why would it suddenly be talking about a baby dinosaur? Oh sure, it MIGHT of been, but it seems rather convoluted.

Also, I do believe that the later section talks of it breathing fire, even. Dragon-like. You know that people can *imagine* these bizarre creatures? I believe the Bible talks about other creatures that don't exist. I could be wrong, but you have to remember that the Bible was written by humans, and humans have written about creatures such as minotaurs, mermaids and other beings but that doesn't necessarily mean they actually *exist*, or ever existed. Just because it is large, has a thick tail means it *has* to be a dinosaur. Dragons didn't exist but they're large, and have thick tails. Maybe it was a dragon.

Perhaps this topic shouldn't be here. Cthulu, there's a reason that you can't actually DEBATE anything here. None of it has enough facts to support either side. It is all about beliefs. Therefore, we should just throw this topic by the wayside... because no one's going to agree with anyone other than their own beliefs, especially when there's not enough evidence to support the other side.

"Dragons didn't exist but...

Um, how do you know?

And the fact that you don't think the Bible could ever possibly mention a baby dinosaur just prooves your closemindedness. Shut and locked tight light a vault door.
I said it must be a dinosaur because it doesn't fit the description of any mammals we have today and fits the description of a dinosaur. Really now, it's not that hard to comprehend.

And really now, you're going to compare minotaurs and mermaids writings to the Bible writings? Puh-lease.

And you want to talk about MY beliefs being convienient? When it comes to science, nothing can be more "convienient" then these explanations people give for everything. Especially with no proof.

Yeah, Darwin was so sure that we evolved from the ape family. Yet, a few hundred years ago we were so sure the Earth was flat. Theres your "imagine" for ya. Imagine what else science is wrong about these days.

Actually, the theory doesn't say we evolved from apes, because if that were true, there'd be no apes today

Legion, what you must realize is that there is just as little proof (if not less) for Creationism as there is for Macro-evolution. There's no way you can possibly PROVE your side, and there's no way an avid evolutionist can PROVE their side.

Actually, that's not true. Because according to the theory, evolution is a branching process. Ugh, I really don't feel like typing this whole thing out but I'll give you the gist of it.
When something "evolves" or whatever, it breaks off into seperate species. Some of them die and become extinct while others move on. I said ape family. Ape is such a broad term. Do you know how many types of "apes" there are?

Legion: You are being pretty closed minded here. What it descrbies there could be anything. Yes it could of course be a baby dinosaur, but it could also be some other creature. A creature that we, um, don't know about And you really can't compare thinking that the earth was flat to modern science.

Other people: You obvoisuly won't be able to convince him. It's very hard trying to convince someone who all their life has been told that what the bible says is true. This goes both ways, of course.

Ok, Legion, now you're just coming across as totally arrogant. I was trying to show you why your comment before seemed very 'convenient', alright? My POINT is that human imaginations have thought up the idea of gigantic lizards without the aid of the Bible. So why does that make the creature described in the Bible DEFINITELY a dinosaur? It doesn't.

I did not say the Bible couldn't ever possibly mention a baby dinosaur. I believe I actually said THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE. I said it COULD be one, I am not denying that fact, but that outcome just seems rather convoluted, hence why your conviction that it MUST be one seems rather close-minded.

No proof? Explainations with no proof? I had a feeling there was quite ALOT of proof for evolution. All you're going on is a book written by MEN. People judge evolution on thousands upon thousands of fossils and even creatures you see in the everyday world (see Darwin's finches).

I think comparing evolutionism with the belief that the Earth is flat is just trying to make it look stupid by comparing it to something stupid. I could compare the Bible to Hitler's idea that there should be Arian supremacy (it would be a very convoluted comparison, of course); that doesn't make it a fair comparison in the least.

There was no proof that the Earth was flat. Nobody had gone and *checked*. I think the idea that the Earth is flat can be more closely compared with the creationist theory, if you want to play that game...

I'm not saying evolution is definite. But if God created everything in one go, why would he give us lots of clues to the idea that creatures evolve over time? Then again, maybe SATAN planted them there to fool the non-believers!! All those who believe in evolution are doomed to an eternity of torture!!

...Sorry. Don't take me too seriously.

Oh don't worry, I didn't. That whole post was the definition of toiling in retardation. Even h's posts were superior to that.

And Max, it hasn't been my whole life. Not even close.

Well, gee, don't you look intelligent. You called me a retard for a post which I believe you will find for the most part was rather fair and as unbiased as I could be, given your arrogance.

Don't worry Max, I'm not going to keep this up, there's no point in arguing with someone who thinks calling me retarded backs up his case. I'd just like to ask him what the hell was so 'toiling in retardation' about it?
