The hammer... is in the first level, it's hard to spot...hehe but if you're wondering about those hammer hitable things on the way out after rescuing Zelda near the "block maze", don't worry about them. |

Hack looks great, but the link is down. I get a "We're sorry, but this page is currently unavailable for viewing. " error from geocities, even with a "save link target as." I tried both of the ones you gave so far, do you have a new link? Oh, and on a kinda-related note, any plans on finishing the Hyrule Magic guide? (http://www.geocities.com/libercy/HyruleMagic/index.html) I think that would be a huge help to me and others, as the help file that comes with HM isnt very in-depth. EDIT: Nevermind, I got it to work. was a problem with mozilla, I had to delete the ".zip" at the end. Still curious about the guide though. I can't find the master sword now. I've checked Misty Mountains and can't seem to get to it.

yes i'll finish that guide (you know... working on a few things at once is a difficult job.) Master sword? Spoiler: try the second dungeon (the one in graveyard), it's bigger than you think it is.... just bomb some walls, and you need the hookshot to get to it. |

Originally posted by Euclid Yeah I definitely know what you mean. No rush on anything. I'm playing through the hack now, and its pretty cool, but I'm stuck looking for the 2nd dungeon. I found something in the graveyard, but after the 2nd room theres a locked door and i cant find the key (actually i can see a key in the first room, but its stuck in the wall in the bottom left, and boomerang cant go through a wall like that. I have a screenshot but no place to upload it to). I have the hammer, but not the glove or flippers. In the room where the hammer is, there is another little chest to the right of the screen. It appears small at first, but when you open it, you get a treasure that looks like the first sword, and then it turns into a bigger chest so you have to jump off. Mean little trick if that was intentional (edited by Deathfile on 04-30-04 02:23 AM) |

Originally posted by Deathfile i think i stuffed up the key thingy on that second dungeon(again!) and hmm... about that other 'bug' you found... must be HM reseting my chests again (which sometimes just gets unnoticed if you don't check every chest in the dungeons for every chest you change)... hmm interesting idea (chest blockages!)... but i don't think i know how to reproduce that effect again. There, fixed: http://www.geocities.com/libercy/TotTdemo1fixed.zip. |

The reason the chest changes is because the hammer is a big chest item. If you place it in a little chest it will not show a small chest when opened but the big one. I once caused a similar effect it was just the other way round. A small chest item in a big chest caused the chest to turn intoa little one. Very strange effect. Not 100% sure if thats the reason for it but i believe it is. Its a logical conclusion. |

Your hack was sublime up until that first level in the Dark World. Zelda is meant to be hard yes, but that is not hard, that is impossible, I don't wanna hear it that level cant be beaten unless you save state, and I cannot even find a potion shop nearby, all those lasers and shooters, and that music, it's enough to make you want to kill yourself, it's not fun that level, just plain depressing and nearly impossible. I had to say it, your hack gets a 9/10 but that level, I don't ever wanna attempt it again.

Yah, that chest thing happens to me all the time. Im almost certain hat NEONswift is correct about why. The simple solution, dont put large items in small chests and vice versa. Although, some items such as the power glove dont seem to have that problem. Not sure why. |

I would seriously have to agree that the first dark world dungeon is impossible. You get hit by something whenever you attempt to lift one of those large blocks.

Originally posted by Brandon ha! i can do that dungeon flawlessly with those items you have (apart from the "mini-boss".. and probably that bit where you see Lamolas under) and well for those who are complaining about dark world level 1, it's not suppose to be there, it's just one of those "insane dungeons which i moved the entrance there just to make people stressed out about it" in fact by the time you get there in my plan, you should have everything (4 bottles + 20 hearts, silver arrows + that blue cane), so i pumped up the difficulty. I can see how that level is so easily done by using the blue cane + 4 magic potions. I guess everyone enjoyed that third level.... heh lots of backtracking... and the agahnim fight... i thought people will complain about that too. don't get stressed out about that level at this stage mmkay? |

Hmm... 1 tiny tiny little thing. South-east of the main town, there's a tile underneath a shrub, when you pull the shrub out, it looks like you pulled the tile with it. Hmm... I didn't even get to the first place... You need to block off ALOT of areas 'cause I went into a dungeon I think I wasn't supposed to be in. |

Scatterheart, Not to be mean or anything, but you shouldn't bump topics that haven't been posted in for at least a month. Also, by that time the area was most likely also fixed. |

I don't know if you noticed this, but there's a bug when registering your name. For some reason, I can't move the cursor left and right, but can move it up and down. Because of this, I can't tell which letters are registering and I end picking the wrong letters. Something like that. (edited by Wario21692 on 06-28-04 07:05 PM) |
