FF7, no doubt about it. Maybe better graphics would make this game even better.

I think FFX-2 is the best

You can't beat Tactics for pure coolness and challenge, it's always been an issue of mine that most FF games were too easy.

Why?! Why do they have to use roman numerals for the names?!

Roman numerals SUCK. They're ancient relics of a proud and defeated empire. They're stupid.

Man, I could go on forever about the Final Fantasy series, and i probably will right now.

The best was FF6. No contest. And I'll tell you why:

FF7 was cheesy as hell. It had some nice graphics, and a pretty descent plot. I say only decent because for most of the game, the plot dragged on and on. There was so many slow points in FF7. The overall plot is really good tho. I did like it. But that was where it stopped being good.
The game has some nice side quests and mini games, but very few Secrets. anyone could play through it and find everything. The Weapons were a poor attempt to squeeze extra gameplay.
The characters have no depth whatsoever. The only difference between any of the characters is their highly streotypical image. Barret, the big black guy who swears too much.. Whoaoaoaoh HOW ORIGINAL. Or not. Cloud was cool, but your standard "I have no emotions and im quiet" kind of guy. Tifa was your "Im a martial atist with big tits" character. Cid is some poeples favorite, but all he was was a Laid Back Brash Pilot. Take the fight out of Han Solo and you're left with Cid. RedXIII was original in design, but in character, it was still your "wo0o0o im a mystical mage being thing". Too Cliche. And what the hell was Cait Sith!? Yuffie was better in character than most of the others. She had a little more depth to her, but still, a shallow thing. Vincent was THE COOLEST character in design, but had NO Depth at all, which is a damn shame. Finially, the character with the most depth, Aeris. She was a good character. Her and Cloud are pretty much the only characters in the game (good guy wise). When she died, it was only sad because up untill that point, she was the "Good girl saint" character. The real sweatheart. Also, the whole scene was set up to be a tear jerker. The music. the slow motion. The camera cuts to the faces. etc cliche. meh. Sephiroth was cool, yadda yadda. Your generic Anime badass mystery guy.
In battle, ALL THE CHARACTERS WERE THE SAME.
The materia was a neat idea, but it seriously meant you had 9 of the same character. very disapointing.
Other than some interesting Plot Twists and Concepts, FF7 disapointed me. Not only that, but FF7 was the first game to stray so far away from the Final Fantasy Tradition, and bastardize it. FF7 was the 'cool' Final Fantasy. Most of FF7's hardest fans are people who got into the series with it.

No, FF1-3, all good games, but no where near the best. They were just laying out the foundation to create the best game. They created the job classes, and the magic...
FF4 - I liked this game a whole lot. It was the first game i got for SNES. Not much i can say about it. Its like a mellow version of FF6. Good Game. Not much in the way of flaws. A Perfect Lead up into FF6.

FF5.. The second game to use the Job/Class system and allow you to change your jobs (FF3 was the first). I loved this game. I loved changing characters classes. I loved all the secrets and cool things to find. The Plot felt weak tho. I dont knwo what it was, but it wasnt very deep. Not very emotional. The Characters didnt feel very deep either. Nevertheless, I loved it's Playability.

FF8... I would read an FF8 Novel, but not play the game. This game had so many gameplay flaws from Forcing you to use the GF's, to the lame ass Draw feature. The story really had me interested tho. Too bad i coudlnt stomach any more of the game to find out the rest of the plot. But like i said, I'd read the Novel, and skip all that annoying gameplay.

FF9... Very nice attempt to re-enter into the realm of Fantasy. Too bad the plot was weak and linear and comepletely annoying. I got so tired of the "I can do it!" aditude. and too bad the game was short. As far as leveling up, I had fun. The characters were shallow, but were still unique in battle. i liked that. Except that thing. that ugly thing. you know, the one that eats shit. I HATED IT. I liked its abilities (i've always been a Blue Mage fan), but the cahracter made me want to kill myself. The game did have some nice side quests and mini games.

FFX .. very bueatiful game. Very deep characters. I loved the story, the settings, the game overall. The battle system was more fun, too. Except it had one major flaw that it shared with FF8.. NO GAME PLAY. The game was nothing more than activating triggers along a linear path. Every map had a beggining, and an end. Start here. Go there. Trigger Cut scene. Start Here. Go there. Trigger Battle. Trigger Cutscene. blah blah. The game was a movie that you played. I lost interest in it because when i play a game, I like to PLAY. Not move my character from hotspot to hotspot. There just want enought to DO.
I would like to play FFx-2, but i dont want to untill i have beaten FFX, which wont be for a while.

FFXI can suck me off. I hate that game. What part of it is FF related, anyways? The jobs you can pick? Thats it? NOTHING ELSE IS RELATED? weak. I'll go play an FF game on Byond instead for free.

So back to FF6. AWESOME GAME. Great plot, great characters in both design and battle. Lots of secrets. Lots of stuff to DO. Just.. overall a very well rounded game.

NOW HERES WHAT I WISH FOR.

Lets Take FFX's Engine. The Entire thing. Battle engine and all, Throw in a world map, and Remake FF6 With it. New Voice Acted Cut scenes. fully 3d towns and worlds. Enhanced music score. I mean, give it the works.
Imagine Narshe in 3D. That alone gives me a stiffy. Or the floating Island.
Hot.
Imagine being able to switch out all your characters in battle, but still having a party of 4.
Imagine the Opera Scene in real time, with 3d beautiful graphics, an all new orchestrated musical score. Imagine the cut scene where the world turns to ruin.

Oh, I would buy this game in a heartbeat.
