| VIII is the only one I can reach disc 2 on. Haven't played the NES versions (technically started I, but didn't "play" it). I've never seen the ending to a FF. I voted for VIII, but X is probably better. YAY for graphics! *waits to see if anyone picks a GB FF or XI* |

| VII Has the best story and plot. VI Has the best battle system, best villain and music. VIII has the best characterisation, joint with VI. VII is the best overall, in my opinion, with VI coming a very close second, with VIII in a safe third  |

| FF6 > all The SNES US cartridge rocks, my cart is broken (I got it imported in 1996), although there are emulators and the ROM, it's not the same playing it on a console and a PC The Playstation version of FF6 sucks at all, at least in the PAL version the black bars a the top and bottom of the screen shrink the viewabvle area to an ugly transition, the loading times for the game is crappy and annoying; and the bonus material like a small monster gallery and a little more is actually nothing I don't understand how 24 MBit of data cannot be loaded into the PS memory together ... since the original game has that size, 24 Megabit = 3 Megabyte; on a CD which can hold up to about 780 megs of data  After I bought FF6 for PSX, it shortly vanished in the cupboard after I beat the Whelk in the beginning .... while I still used to enjoy FF6 US when it still worked ^^ |

I recently purchased FFVI(IIIus) for Snes, and that's basically which gave me my decision. It was my 3rd time going through the game, which last time was quite awhile ago, and having playing it on the original Snes was far better than a rom or the PSX version. Which yeah, battling in Trigger took a long time to simply load the battles which got really annoying. And when I wanted to simply look at my stats for someone, well I had to sacrifice 5 seconds in loading the menu. It's really annoying after awhile ...  |
