I hated and loved Skyscraper at the same time. It could be fun to beat your friends but it sucks falling down those holes.

Block Fort can take a long time to finish but I didn´t think it was that bad.

I loved the Mario Kart 64 battle mode. I was nearly undefeatable. My favorite was Block Fort, but I there were none I disliked. Me and my brother would make up stuff to do when we didn't feel like trying to kill each other (directly). For example, in Block Fort we each claimed one of the forts. Then, we'd build up security with bananas, item boxes, etc. and try to raid each other's fort. In the Double Decker level, we'd do the red shell trick and chase each other with them (fire a red shell at your opponent when they are one level above/below you). In Skyscraper, we'd both go to the outer rim and choose a direction. Basically, we'd clash twice every time around until one of us died. Also, we'd have stupid contests like "1st to bottom of hole" or "farthest off course before hitting the bottom".

This game will be fun. I've just about gotten all the fun out of Double Dash! that I can, so its about time for a new Mario Kart. Online shall be neat.

Probably the most fun part of Skyscraper is being on the outer rim, then making a 90° left turn at full speed, flying right over the gap, and smacking someone with a shell leaving them wondering WTF you just did. For some reason a lot of people don't seem to realize you can jump those. With a boost you can even jump the big hole in the middle. And for even more fun, you can jump through the outer wall of the start points.

Of course, one big flaw was that you'd know exactly where someone would respawn, and could just go wait there or circle it with bananas.

ARE YOU FUCKING NUTS!? I keep falling of the track but I have gotten better at it, at least.

You can't blame your own lack of skill. Careening around sharp corners with 2 wheels off the edge is awesome.

I liked MK64's rainbow road a lot better. But that probably had something to do with how I memorized it and thus could do the feckin' awesome "jump the entire course by boosting at exactly the right time near the start point".

I think the most important part of this new MK should be originality. I could never enjoy the SNES version because the way the SNES handled the ground made me hate it so. I could never see what I was doing. I couldn't enjoy Double Dash because it was just MK64 with less interesting tracks and better graphics. And the double player mode wasn't that good, guys.

We could use some really interesting tracks or systems or whatnot this time. This retro mode thing is a good start. While I would pick better courses it's still awesome. Twice the tracks of a regular Mario Kart? Maaaaadness.

Daisey has been confirmed!
But what'd really freak everyone out, is that in the Mission Mode, there will actually be bosses to fight!

Check it out here!

Ha hah, ink splotches that make it harder to drive. As for the bully boss, eh... I don't know. I really like the idea of a mission mode; it'd make things interesting if something mixes up the racing in 1-player. But will it really be fun or just gimmicky?

I also hope they come up with some new items, real ones. Most of the ones in MKDD were just either really big, exploded into regular items, or both. And the ones that were new weren't all that great. Daisy and Peach hearts were just ripoffs of what triple shells used to do.

I won one game when I was at the bottom of the hole once.

Beat that.

Oh, I´ve done that too.

Ooh, the bosses looks cool. There´s one of those Bullies.

Kyouji, I think everyone with a little brother or sister (or even parent) did that at one point.
