Well, it's time. Time again for more screenies of my SMW: The Thousand-Year Pipe. This time, I have 6 shiny screenies to show you all, 5 of them being sweet and 1 being OMG sweet.
Enjoy. Please post comments too

2-Finale - Boggly Palace - REVAMPED!

3-1: Glitz Blitz

3-2: The Glitz-Boo Temple - Look at the rips in THIS one

I ripped this all myself. The ground is from SMB2, the door, log, and spikes are from YI. And they actually work! Better not touch that spike ball, or there will be a bit of trouble

Lemme know what you all think of these, ESPECIALLY the last one

EDIT: For those who wanted a demo later down in the thread - I guess I'll give you this one. But be warned, you won't actually SEE the Glitzville OW yet. It ends at the level right before Glitzville. Nice, aren't I? Enjoy this.

New demo

Finally, I was waiting for some pictures of the Gltz Pic. Great job on all of them, especially for the last one.

This puzzle seems... easy.

Good level design idea, though overused

Not much to say here.

Ditto. Thugh, this part does look good.

Amazing. Simply good work. I'm guessing the spike ball goes around the platform?

In conclusion, the screens look good. Good work!

Overall, that's a nice rip in the last one. although the others are a little bland as far as ExGFX goes, that's not what makes a hack great; level design does. And these screenies prove that you need to maneuver yourself through slightly puzzlesome areas, and tight situations. You have level design over average. Could you show some screens of the overworld too? I'd like to see those, too.

No, the spike ball doesn't go around the platform. It kind of just . . sits there. But thank you for the idea- I'm gonna replace the urchin with it - anyone got a link of HH's MWR?

fabio: Wait til you see the rest of the last level

EDIT: Err, the overworld isn't exactly A+ material - but if you really want to see them . . .

The Glitzville one is plain ATM - with more events, it will start to reveal craters, fortresses, etc. So just one sucks, ATM.

These two I like. But do you guys?

Again, thanks for the ratings, I figured peeps would like the rips

And that BG will get changed. Soon as I find a suitable one, that is

You don't need MWR to change the urchin if you want it to go around the platform; the land-guided one (I'm pretty sure there's one) already does. If not that, then get some exgraphics for Hothead. The only hack I've seen Hothead in is FuSoYa's.

Edit: Or even a line-guided buzz saw.

May I suggest the SMB2 Pyramid BG for the Boo Temple...?

This hack looks pretty good... However, you might want to rerip the SMB3 ground from the version of the tileset I released... (Yours seems to have lost color.)

The SMB2 pyramid was the one I wanted, since it suits the FG. Problem was, I looked, and I looked hard, but nowhere in the tile editor could I find the BG. I'll find one as close to it as possible though. And yeah, I think I just have the wrong palette, because they ARE kinda pale.

And I didn't really understand your post D. Ludwig.

The overworlds look great so far. At least there's scenery, unlike a couple other SMW hacks. Heck, at least it's edited! Craters? In Glitzville? This is a grass-based submap.....

Edit: You didn't understand my post? Sorry. The Buzzsaw Grinder sprites (found in the forest fortress and Wendy's castle to name a few examples) are line guided. if you use ExGFX, you can have an invisible line guide that they follow. Although, they are fast, and they may not look as if they connect with the ground, so in that case you could go with Hothead, the big fireball, found in Lemmy's castle and Bowser's castle to name a few more examples. He is slow-moving and ground guided.

Grass based? Glitzville? Glitzville is the black one. And I've already checked the events, it looks pretty good, trust me

What were you saying about not needing MWR to make the spike ball rotate? What I meant was, I want the spike ball to have the same characteristics of the urchin, but look like a spike ball

KATW submitted that BG to the ExGFX Workshop, if I remember correctly...

Hmm, I didn't use the pyramid BG, I found that the Chain Link Chamber BG worked better.

BTW, quick question - how exactly do you change the graphics of sprites? I used MWR, but I didn't see any graphic options in there . .

If you mean the tiles they use... I'm not exactly sure.

Otherwise, ExGFX will do perfectly.

Looks pretty neat. The ExGFX though need to be enhanced a little. The level design; it's a so-so. Nothing majorly wrong with that part either. Overall, the hack looks pretty decent.

Unless he releases a demo, it won't be soon. He's still somewhere in the middle of his hack, maybe closer to starting than he is to finishing.

Pretty good. Not 'wow' but good, I seem to like it.

I hate these puzzles.

Okay, It's not bad.

Neat.

One thing, what does any of this have to do with Glitzville?

Freakin' sweet.

This hack is coming along well. Good work.

Ok children, listen up. You will NOT understand anything about these levels unless you play my hack. Sorry, but it's true. If I were to explain the storyline to you, it would take, oh, about 5 paragraphs. And I'm not determined enough to type that. What I'll do for you though, for peeps like Kirby Mario, I'll add the demo up top. Then if you want to see for yourself how it is, be my guest.

I admit, I included pretty lame parts of the levels in the screenies. But don't fret - I'll put up the demo, and you can all play it for yourself. Of course, it'll end after Glitz Blitz I'm afraid, so you guys won't get to play the WOOT last screenie. Well, have fun
