Of the films, I most enjoyed Return of the King. All three were spectacular, but Fellowship of the Ring had the unenviable task of introducing the characters, plot, and even the entire world, while The Two Towers suffered from what I call "middle child syndrome."

My favorite part of Return?

Spoiler:
When Frodo and Sam are lying near-dead on Mount Doom after destroying the Ring and, out of the blinding light, soar the three eagles to rescue them. It was poetic and breathtakingly beautiful.

Also i reckoned they should of shown the elves more. And the books are better then the movie but, its good to see them on a movie so we can picture everything

The Two Towers...the first one was much too dry and the third one didnt rub me the right way...i think it was because of all the idiots that felt like clapping and cheering whenever something happened...im sorry but thats REALLY queer

Huge battles in ROTK worked for me.

But I liked them all.

Since I haven't seen the 3rd one, The Return of the King. I'll say that my favorite so far has been The Two Towers. It had more action than the first one. The First one was a little long and kinda boring. Everytime I'd try to watch it I'd fall asleep. Maybe because I'd try to watch it at night . Eventually I watched the whole thing in bits and pieces but the 2nd was way better and kept me awake .

Definitely Return of the King. It was loaded with action, some brilliant CGIs, a number of laughs, a great story, just too good to miss out on. Though I liked them all, I'd say the trilogy got better with each sequel.

Well, i like The Return of the King most of them.

It has amazing battles, good music, a happy ending, humour etc.

The big battles were so beautiful that i almost cried. It was amazing to look at them.

I liked them all.

ROTK had some awesome battle scenes, but the ending sorta decieved alot of people in our theatre. It kept making it seem like it was going to end with fading, but it didn't

Anywho, Two Towers of course had Helms Deep, and the First one had a wicked mine battle. They all had good action scenes

Solely for the music, Return of the King. Theatrically, they were all magnificent. So I based my decision on the music. In which case, RotK wins.

Fellowship was the best written out of the lot. It had the greatest sense of adventure, the best use of Middle Earth and some great moments.

I love the bit where Frodo looks back over the landscape at Weathertop, and can see black dots on the horrizon. The impending arrival of the Ring Wraiths adds some great tension and atmosphere.

If you think Return of the King had a completely happy ending, you haven't read the book.

Granted, the book has a happy ending, but there is a hell of a lot left out of the film

I loved every single one. And every time, I severely had to go to the bathroom(watched them all twice), but I still watched. I never went to sleep. My friends and I went every year to go and see them on opening night. I had been waiting for the movie to come out, and when I finally did, I cannot say that I was dissappointed. Return of the King, was however, the best. The music was absolutely spectacular. My two favorites are Into the West(if someone has the instrumental version, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, GIVE IT TO ME!) and the song during

the lighting of the torches.
Could someone please help me in getting these songs.(or I'll just buy the cd) I almost cried when the movie ended because it was such a brilliant adaptation and I couldn't believe it was gone. For more at least four years, it was what I had been living for. And then it was over. I felt such a rush of emotions.
