| I hate colds. I really do. Rarely do I get a cold that hits me hard, but this has... just crushed me into the ground like a... little... groundy... crushy... thing. I have horrible trouble breathing at night, which of course keeps me up, even though I need the rest. Right now I have a pounding headache and am waiting for the ibuprofen to kick in. I've been terribly dehydrated, partly because of my sore throat. I can hardly hear because of sinus problems. My wife left me. I lost my job, my home, and my family. I've been drinking to ease the pain, but that only hurts me and those around me worse. I'm not the only one who's been hit. My entire family, save my Dad (who's hardly ever sick in the first place), has been hit. It's been miserably quiet around here. Well, by quiet, I mean "not annoyingly loud". Of course, some have been hit worse than others. My younger sister is still loud, and I think she's already over it. Geez, and cold/flu season has only just begun... anyone else here suffering to some extent with a cold/flu? Or am I alone and do I have to go cry in an emo corner by myself while listening to Linkin Park? |

| I keep nearly getting something lately. I come down all sniffly and headachey, fevery and muscle-pain-ey, it lasts several hours, I go have a nap, I'm fine. It has been happening on and off for several weeks now. Each time it feels like I've been kicked in the head. Then it goes away again. I don't know why I'm not coming down with a cold or whatever properly, but I wish I would. Then I'd take some time off work instead of going in of a morning feeling all chipper, and finishing up feeling like crap. |

| I hate colds too. I got a cold right now for not wearing a jacket a few days ago when the cold front came to town. I missed the cold because it has been hot for 5 months straight. Now, I'm sick because of that but it's nothing too bad. I never had a cold so bad that I would have to miss school. | |||

| I've had cold and allergies compounded lately, so that sucks. One day it was horrible, but since it was a cold, my parents wouldn't let me stay home. So I've been taking 3-4 Benadryll twice a day. | |||

| I just recently got over something... Rarely do I get something that actually keeps me bedridden for more than 24 hours... I just have a really strong immune system I guess  Hope you feel better. It problems persist... doctors office? |

| I've had two truly evil respiratory infections - one in 7th grade, one in senior year of college. Both gave me a riproaring sore throat and knocked me on my ass for a week straight. However, once the sore throat was manageable, they honestly weren't that bad. I just slept a lot and vegetated in front of the TV on occasion. Luckily my colds generally don't keep me in "can't function...must stay home from work" mode for more than two days. Tarale - Argh...that sounds familiar.  I hate it when some virus is festering enough to fatigue you and make you take a nap in the evening, but it isn't bad enough that you can justify taking time off work for it. That happened to me earlier this week, and then it flared up and I stayed home and slept it off. I seem to be fully recovered now. Oddly enough, it didn't come with cold symptoms. It just gave me a fever and made me groggy and loopy. One of my friends had something very similar last week, so I'm blaming him for it. |

I'm one of the few strange people who love colds. Nothing life-threatening, but just enough to make me feel like shit for 3-4 days. I get waited on hand and foot, I play videogames all day, and watch TV, sleep, eat.... Wait a second... I do all this now  Oh well. They're still fun in their own strange way to me. |

| I do like having an excuse to take a day off, but when I'm sick, I can't work out properly, so I can't say I enjoy getting colds. Also, it sucks when you're too groggy to play video games or pay attention to a movie. I wanted to watch a movie when I was home sick, but I didn't think I would have 2 1/2 hours of attention span to devote to it. I didn't even feel like putting forth the effort to twiddle the PS2 laser wheel into the best position for DVD's. (Then again, messing with the laser annoys me even when I'm healthy and energetic...) |
