User colors are fun, but a bit old and boring. Should we implement some color changes?

I seriously do not like the new colors at all.
If they ever get put in, they have to be optional.

Hm... why don't we just use formatting to indicate who's what (or just add 'Administrator', 'Member', 'Banned' etc before their custom titles ), and let people choose their own name colour?

Rather than using all different colours, use vibrant colours to stimulate and formatting to distinguish. Plus make banned people feel that much less welcome by crossing out their name.

Some of the colors are too close like the Admin male and full mod and the same with the female admin and full mod. You could make the admin for both genders a little darker or something.

No, see... Normal, mod, fullmod and admin are all the same colour. The difference is that mods are italic, fullmods are bold, and admins are both.

Also, instead of using formatting or colours... what if names were prefixed with little Mario sprites? Mods would have a Mushroom, Full mods a flower/cape, Admins a star, System a 1up, normal members a coin (or nothing), and banned members a dead Mario.

I say add the new colors, but have it optional like the board layouts. Also, would it be possible to have a custom name color feature for those with really high post counts? Of course, a level thing would be added to the profile. Just a thought...

Damn..they are huh..

The monitor at my school's library was on crack and made them look different . I didn't realize they were just italicized and bolded.

I like the idea of COLORS. And the way links are on this forum, the font is automatically bolded in every scheme I believe. Changing the format would involve more work than changing a few color tags.
