The movies that are old, and yet still just awesome. After re-looking at Where Eagles Dare thanks to the Misfits song, I just wanted to see what you guys came up with. Here's my incomplete list: Casablanca The Great Escape Zulu The Bridge Over the River Kwai Where Eagles Dare James Bond series Apocalypse Now Scarface The Godfather (haven't seen the second yet) Platoon Starwars doesn't seem that old, but still Jaws Patton God knows how many more there are, but I jolted my memory from AFI's 100 greatest movies |

Heh I only remember maybe not even one of the Jaws movies. Heh in some Johnny Depp article they said that he's going to try to add some sort of little twist to the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory. I don't remember many older movies. I haven't watched many but I will . When I was younger I liked The Nightmare Before Christmas

I would call almost all of those new classics, not old classics (which is redundant). Old classics would be movies from 40s and before, in my estimation.

Originally posted by NSNick Well, I'd hardly call the Godfather a new classic. You're right, but it would be tough to actually put a timeframe on old and new. |
